Hello, some of you may know who I am, others may not. I'm a chat mod on The Elder Scrolls wiki. Recently there was an off-topic post by a /d mod, RhodiumOdi, which ended in being locked due to drama that carried over from chat to here. Its prime cause was a chat ban I issued to a user from here for trolling. The post ended up being locked, and some discussion here, and between staff was about whether there should be another off topic post in the future. A user pointed out in a separate post, as well as some other staff that the majority of users did nothing wrong, rather it was one or two that started to derail it. Issues across platform shouldn't carry to other places. It causes issues for all involved and puts more hassle on staff on the wiki, and here. The /d mods and admins had to end up purging posts and ultimately locking the thread. I ask if you were banned from chat, please do not carry that here, it could end up with worse disciplinary actions being taken, as well to ruin things people enjoy here. I was inclined to agree that the actions of a few users that resulted in the end of that thread shouldn't be reason enough to end those posts. Staff already has enough to do, without having to deal with issues that shouldn't have happened in the first place.
