That just wrong, I want to GET RID OF my black books!!
Isn't there any wizard or preist that can buy them from you and lock them away or send them back to oblivion?

Love the powers, hate the clutter. I just want to store them somewhere so I don't have to wade through them, the scrolls, and What's-His-Names's Opus.
I read the black books when I need to use the potty... To apocrypha! ;)
These certain quest items do not take up weight but there are some that do. For instance the Talos Amulets, I don't pick these up because I know I can not get rid of them but also this means I cannot use them to make the Talos shrines in the Hearthfire Homes. The flute and drum from the bard quest and Lisbet's Dibella Statue also add weight as well. As far as quest items go the Barenziah stones are kind of annoying as well at .5 a piece they do start to add up plus the fact that it doesn't stack them together so you have multiple stones one right after the other. I personally don't care that much about the weight because I can carry quite a bit. And you can't tell me these items don't add weight because I have emptied my inventory and the weight is there.
actually I dont since I have Magelight and any light source counteracts it
The thread is well over two years old.
The actual written content of the books is on their wiki pages the main page for the Black Books is here (with the links to the individual books), Filament and Filigree for example says -
"I stared at my reflection in the metal, wondering if my face had hardened to match my inner mood. I had been working the piece for days, and the forge's swelter was taking its toll. I always came to the metal shop when the dark swam over me, and today was no exception. In the midst of.."
You can't open them like a normal book in your inventory though.
No i was wrong when you first pick up a book before you actually take it you can read it, after that when you open the book from your inventory you get a few seconds where you can see the text before the teleport is (or isn't) triggered.
Oh i see, interesting wish they gave us a command prompt to be teleported cause it'd be nice to read the text
