Works on PS3 to get the ancient nord armor off of him, I've done it twice. You just need to kill him before he gets to the bandits. This isn't very hard just using basic flames or a bow, he's a bit fast for a 2 handed user like me.

The Ghost (The one in Ancient Nord armor), can also spawn at levels lower than the listed level.
(Mentioning this, just in case people wanted to know if the armor around level 1)
