<p>Tonilia is essential and can't be killed. (It may be possible to make her unessential if you use console commands or mods.)
</p><p>She <i>might</i> be cheating on her boyfriend. When Vekel asks her about it she claims people are spreading rumors about her and when Dirge tells her "everyone knows about you and Brynjolf" she says "everyone's wrong."
</p><p>So it is a possibility that she is faithful to Vekel and people are just lying about her.
