Hello
As many of you most likely know, Jimee has set in place a new rule in chat that makes sure no one can critisize moderators in main chat.
I for one think this is stupid, irresponsible, and violates one of the rules already in place.
When a user
1) Is being nominated for chat moderator or administrator
2) Looks through the public copy of the rules
3) Asks about the position
They are greeted with this message on the subject.
Moderators are not above any other user
So tell me, why should we in any sense get special treatment? I for one find the critisizm both constructive and useful, as long as it stays civil.
Now a good counter would be "Why not ban uncivil critisizm?" The answer? Because it already is against the rules. It would violate the no insulting rule and the unspoken rule that we should always be civil.
No user should have to worry about telling a moderator their opinion. We are not on a golden throne, we are just other users.
Before I end this, I must add that over HALF our current moderators currently are reported ignoring private messages of both critisism and reports of bad behavior in chat.
If we keep this rule in place, and also ignore private messages, that gets rid of any viable way to contact us in chat. I think this entire rule should be removed.

If this is just a bi-product of the "wikia overhall" so many of us supported, you can be sure that will have a soon switch in opinion as well.
