Hey everyone, It's been another productive week, as usual, and we're still seeing new developments from Wikia, especially regarding Discussions. So we've got alot to talk about.
*TES news
Much to our dismay, Pete Hines from Bethesda explained in an interview this week that we would not be receiving any news about TES VI until just before its release. Then again, this decision will make the game's unveiling even more spectacular.
*Wiki news
Shockstorm just got back from Community Connect at Wikia's HQ in San Francisco, where he discussed various new features and matters of importance to the wiki such as Discussions, Search Engine Optimization, and Wikia's Fandom program, among other things. He wrote a very informative blog (which I highly recommend you read) about feedback and upcoming features here; elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Shockstorm/US_Community_Connect_2016
Flightmare recently added a link between every user's contributions on the wiki and their Discussions post history; this link, titled "Discussions posts," can be found on Special:Contributions and looks like this; gyazo.com/9b16b3cdaa4c66674055c95fe608da2c to regular users.
Wikia has added small icons to distinguish certain types of staff members from regular users on the wiki's Discussions forum. These appear next to the profile pictures of said staff members, and when rolled over they display the position the staff member in question holds.
A "Load more" button has been added to the web version of Discussions by Wikia, which looks like this; gyazo.com/70d00088e4c33614418d4e6c6594c0ab
Previously, older posts were loaded automatically simply by scrolling down more.
*Moot
There was no moot this week, as has been the case recently. If you have something you'd like to talk about, please sign up on the project page here; elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/The_Elder_Scrolls_Wiki:Moot#Sign-up
That's all for this week, happy discussing!
