I'm kind of confused of what happen on the Battle of Red Mountain that made them disappear? Were they killed or just teleported to another Dimension? My ES Lore isn't the greatest
During the battle the Chimer and the Dwemer generals (Cant remember names) began to fight. Before the meltdown of the treaty both generals grew friendships but it fell apart after a Dwemer priest discovers a way to tap into the Heart of Lorkan (Dead god) and reach "full enlightement" and the Chimer did not like this. Snapping back to the battle and the Dwemer general is struck down and in a moment of distress the priest uses Sunder and Keening to tap into the Heart of Lorkan and the Dwemer just go *POOF*.
The Dwemer attempted to become immortal by researching the 9 divines, attempting to recreate the the 9 divines power of immortality.
I believe they were removed from the real world, by the 9 divines, and was placed in a realm called Mundus. Also Lorkhan could have completely destroyed the Mer because they were attempting to get power from his heart.
^ appreciate the effort, but that is not correct in a few ways. Mundus is the realm they are/were already in. And Lorkhan couldn't destroy any mer because Lorkhan was dead before men and mer existed, he died in the time of the ehlnofey
But who said he died?
Yea it's pretty complex, takes a few months of studying (the word studying sounds so pathetic talking about video game lore tho lol) to understand it pretty decently
Lorkhan was killed by Auriel and Trinimac during the Convention. He still lives on through Shezzarines though.
^^^ Pretty much every religious tradition on Tamriel has Lorkhan in it in some way, shape or form, and in all of them he's "Missing", generally because he's had his heart ripped out. He's as dead as an et'ada can be, although that's not the same thing as entirely dead.
Their goal was to ascend to aetherius by using the aetherial artifacts on the heart of lorkhan.
Kagrenac used the three weapons sunder, keening, and the gauntlet thing to tap into the heart of Lorkan to get power from it but when this happened, all the deemed were either sucked into the nearest thing or got sucked into the heart of lorkan. A skyrim quest showed this as a possibility.
What do you think?
