I've only ever played Skyrim so I can only say Dragonborn

Nerevarine is the best for me.

I still haven't gone through Morrowind's story (gotta get going on that, I don't know how long I'll keep delaying it), so I can only choose between the HoK and the LDB. Between the two I much prefer the way the former is portrayed in their game, a person behind the big hero of the story, one that majorly Martin with the situation but let history forget them, despite their accomplishments. Reminds me of Sam from LOTR.

I believe the Eternal Champion to be a true protagonist for the Elder Scrolls games. He/She is truly defined by the players themselves, the Champion never had a back story to tarnish the imaginations of fans. Within Arena, he/she was never destined to become a religious protector or half-breed of an immortal beast, the Eternal Champion was simply chosen to defeat Jagar Tharn and go off and venture forth around Tamriel.

I don't always say who is my favorite protagonist, but when I do, it's Nerevarine.

Others are just waste of space and boring. Don't get me wrong, I like playing all TES-games. Nerevarine is just the only protagonist I like.

The Dragonborn had an intriguing story, but the Nerevarine sounded epic! Yes, the Hero of Kvatch is Sheogorath but he left Tamriel to its doom from the Thalmor. I say Nerevarine.

Well not everyone can summon a freaking long dead dragon and whose voice is equivalent to a DAMN DRAGON!!!!

All of them are badass but not as epic as the Nerevaine. The Forgotten Hero mislead an entire army that he was Titus Mede II. The Dragon born prevents Alduin to end the Kalpa and yes I know that Alduin comes back but it was battle in Sovengarde which is badass. Hero of Kvatch stops Mehrunes Dagon from connecting his world to Nirn.
