ALL POSTSSmall house into entryway?
<p>I was able to build the main hall of Lakeview immediately after building the small house, enabling me to avoid furnishing it much so far. Now that the mansion is practically complete and a capable, well-armed steward in place (namely Uthgerd the Unbroken) , it is time to consider what to do about this original room. Of course, we can remodel it into an entryway, but is this desirable for other than cosmetic reasons? The alternative is to install what would be there if it were the entire starter home. With housecarl, wife, two children, steward, carriage driver, and possibly a bard, an additional bed might be important. As ungainly as it looks to see a double bed in the first room of a mansion, are there any circumstances where it would be necessary-- for instance, if I move wife and children to another residence and am unable to move them back because someone else has taken possession of the beds they had used earlier? Safety first!

<p>It's purely cosmetic to turn it into an entryway. The main hall offers 4 beds, double for you and your spouse and two more that I think go to your steward and housecarl. If you make one wing into a bedroom you will get another double bed with 2 children's beds. Although they can be used by non-children. That way you'd be able to make a full household, as these two children's beds are essential for having children in the house I believe, personally I never bothered to finish the normal house and went straight to main hall and entryway.
</p><p>If youre a Vampire and have Dawnguard, you can install a coffin in the cellar which also acts as a bed.

You can save the bed upstairs for your bard instead of your housecarl. But that is up to you.

<p>Yeah, some of your NPC's just don't sleep if there's no bed, only children need beds.
