As flames engulfed the tiling of his manor's exterior, Kerus raised his right hand as it filled with a ball as black as the void and he absorbed magicka from the hole to Aetherius, causing it to grow to the size of a mammoth. While watching this exchange Fyn looked to Tandélion for support.
"Eh... Kind-Elf Tandélion, the lad isn't gonna kill 'em is he? I've just got over the last time I thought he killed a group of people...'
The Deep Elf whispered as the much older Altmer laughed.
"Kerus killing? The only time I've seen him kill is when absolutely necessary! Have no fear, this is just him showing off his artistic flare to negotiate from a better position... To be honest, although they have tried to isolate him, he still sees the order as a family, he's always been an adventurous spirit because he wishes to find other Aldmer."
Tandélion replied as he stared at Kerus' face lined with stress
"When I found him in the Coloured Rooms, he simply almost went insane, he was suffering from malnutrition and dehydration because he would never stop exploring Nirn. Eventually I managed to earn his trust and apparently he went home to an island he trained on regularly then just built this place."
The Altmer continued, looking now to Fynvik and smiled.
"From what I heard from the people who still live on that island, soon others found him and in exchange for their company, he'd give them shelter and eventually many of the people hoped to thank him by offering to work as servants for him, there was this one Nede who always cleaned the house despite Greywyn telling him not to because he saved his life after a shipwreck, healing his wounds and giving him food... He may seem a little hard on the outside but all he hopes for is to make sure those he cares about are safe, I guess I know that as good as anyone."
Tandélion chuckled as he held his hand to his heart and felt the Dragon inside him as Kerus finished. Only one out of the group still held a spell in his grasp, surprising even the Ritemaster as the Aldmer compacted the ball into the size of a coin and sent it flying towards the last Sage's heart and stopped a millimetre from striking them.
"You're very brave to continue to stand with this much confidence in the face of death... I think I like you."
Kerus softly said, dispelling everything and stepped closer. Using telekinesis to bring the heart alongside him as the Conclave attempted to think of what it was as he threw it in front of them as a group of Daedra began shouting.
"This Deep Elf is an ally to me who has stopped his race from creating a new heart of Lorkhan from Daedra, he has earned my trust and I wish to stand as his representative to join the psij..."
Kerus confidently said as the group began to protest.
"Aldmer, your word is meaningless as any object in the vaults, we purely attempt to give you the comfort of your own home but without any visitors!"
Said the one still channelling Magicka as Greywyn began to flame up again, this time localizing it into his eyes as the flames ran from the Void.
"I am not staying alone, and if you even attempt to touch any of these people behind me, my threat from earlier will be genuine!"
He roared as he lifted his fingers and from the sky, solid black spears appeared, primed to strike the hearts of each monk and Tandélion ran forward, noticing the blinding source of Magicka and held his shoulder.
"Don't let them turn you into the monster they claim that Sithis has made you into my apprentice. Control your rage, they can't do anything here..."
He whispered as he tightened his grip until the spears were gone then eased Kerus to the side.
"Conclave of Eleven Forces, I must humbly ask for you to accept Kerus' offer, these are greatly powered so he has returned his worth in the vaults, just let him continue to do as he wishes."
Ferois called as he walked down too and stood behind him.
"You and your master aren't even worthy of hearing this discussion! He made a deal with Vile and you have tainted your body with the organ of a Daedra!"
Called the monk as he stared at them disapprovingly and saw the flames in the Aldmer's eyes double in size.
"I wish to duel you for the right of standing on the Conclave to restore membership to me and my master then grant membership to Fynvik Torvum, do you accept my challenge?"
He quietly said, loud enough so that the sages could barely hear, a spear forming in his hand as the Conclave looked to their member with terror as his face went was lined with fear.
"I accept your challenge, we shall fight until one of us gives in, right here!"
He said, attempting to sound confident as he pulled off his robes, revealing the Arena Master who manifested a barrier around them.
"I always wondered what you did when you didn't manage fights... I never expected you to lead the order."
Kerus whispered as he teleported forward and picked the Redguard up by the throat then threw him into the barrier behind him.
"Yesss... Kill thisss mortal for daring to opposse you..."
Sithis shrieked with joy as Kerus stepped away to allow his opponent to get up.
"I will have to... Die before... I hand my position over to you... Monster!"
He groaned as he drew a greatsword of Daedric craft from his hand and attempted to slash at Kerus' throat.
"Funny, you always considered me a great member of your arena as I fought... Now you face me as helpless as a rat to a gryphon..."
Kerus replied calmly as he placed a hand on the blade and disintegrated it as he placed a hand over the Redguard's chest and sapped his strength.
"This can all end if you grant my requests or give in... Save yourself the pain..."
He continued as the Redguard began to fall to the ground.
"I... Won't... Give in!"
He moaned defiantly as he dropped to his knees and Kerus planted a hand over his head, using a spell to also slowly calm him down as he started to drift between unconsciousness when the barrier fell but Kerus refused to let go.
"Kerus, release him! Now!"
Tandélion shouted as Kerus pushed all of the strength back into his body then stood up.
"I restore membership to myself and Tandélion Aurolial and I grant Fynvik Torvum the honour of training under me, finally, I relinquish my membership of this council to our glorious Arena Master..."
Kerus announced loudly, looking at the Redguard the entire time then retreated, walking back towards his manor.
"You may take each offering we brought, and give my apologies to the Arena Master for being so rough... I needed this..."
He sadly said then continued on his way, feeling the weight of everyone's fearful stares...
That's it for today! I hope you enjoyed it and will continue to support the series!
