Congratulations to Black Sacrament for winning the last competition, the Pherine got 5 (the most) votes!! Beating King Bendix, Hrafnfjödr, and The engineer 123!
Fantastic job to all you guys and thank you for the effort & participation! All the monsters were unique in their own way!
I pray the champion who faces off against your monster not doesn’t die a brutal death. I can honestly only see Syndesi or maybe Yanderas (cuz she’s a Nord) possibly beating that thing. But we’ll see who the dice pair it up with...
The monster who wins will appear in my fanfic! Please note these monsters were created by users for the creature creation contest, but I have not included their names so that you vote based on the monster and not the user.
Please have integrity for this rule. If you created one of these monsters or know the user who did, I would appreciate you keeping it to yourself. The creators WILL be credited in Chapter 15: The Third Event!
These monsters are supposed to be somewhat similar!
And don’t vote for yourself.
Without further ado:
Appearance: A large Atronach-looking monster with a larger and battle-hardened right arm made of molten rocks and lava. It’s right arm looks very similar to the Wraithguard, a dwemer artifact.
Combat abilities: Oblivion will try to assault it’s enemies with unrelenting rage by charging them, using his hardened arm as a sort of shield and using it to grab and slam them into the ground until they die or just beating them to death.
It can purposefully create a large amount of ash to temporarily blind it’s enemies or if hot enough, can give nearby objects burns so hot that the pain of the burning will never subside. Oblivion has the ability to rearrange molecular or particle structures of any substance into most anything else, creating different atomic structures of equal mass.
He can transmute the basic composition of an object (e.g., transmuting lead into gold) and can also change its shape or form at will. Oblivion’s alterations are permanent unless he reverses them, though this process takes time. If the enemy is beyond reach, Oblivion can shoot out a short range of lava that can melt anything it hits. If that wasn’t enough Oblivion can overload his nuclear energy to act like a nuclear warhead, which has power similar to the bomb dropped by american soldiers in Nagasaki during the final stage of World War 2.
Though this is just a situational move as it will also kill Oblivion. And also, like almost a whole region of Tamriel.
Backstory: Some believe that Oblivion is a compressed and weaker form of the energy used to create Mundus and has been slumbering underground in Red Mountain for many eras along with the Heart of Lorkhan, until now. Oblivion will be always reincarnated in a different form, and in a different time. Which means killing him will only be a temporary solution as it will reincarnate after thousands of years. Some people say that after the heart of Lorkhan was accidentally used to make the Dwemer race dissapear, a weaker form of the heart was implated into Red Mountain. This process was extremely fast, but he still laid dormant until the meteor Baar Dau fell and Red Mountain erupted, waking him up.
Monster/Creature Name: Avalagam
Appearance: The Avalagam doesn’t have a standard appearance. It is practically living lava and is a liquid substance that can change in any form. Every piece of ground the Avalagam touches that can turn to lava will become a part of it.
Abilities: The Avalagam attacks with its own body: lava. It can make some big arms of lava to hit its enemies, or it can shoot some lava towards them, though when the lava is no longer in contact with the body, the Avalagam can’t control it anymore, unless it reconnects with it again.
Its attacks are slow, but very powerful and can’t be stopped or blocked. As it hasn’t fatigue, it won’t slow down or get tired, so it will continue attacking its opponents until they are turned to ashes. If the blade is strong enough, it can chop off the arms of the Avalagam, but as soon as the monster gets in contact with it again, it becomes a part of it again.
It is immune to almost every kind of magic or enchantments. Fire nor ice can damage it and physical damage is also no use against a Avalagam.
Weakness: For a long time Avalagams were supposed to be undefeatable and the only way to survive an encounter is to run away. Until someone discovered the gemstone well hidden inside the lava is the key to destroy the monster. Once you’re able to reach the gemstone and destroy it, the Avalagam dies and its body becomes just lava.
Backstory: It is rumored Sotha-Sil made the Avalagams for Almalexia as the ultimate weapons in securing Morrowind. They were created with a ritual involving a lot of lava, Daedric Magic and a gemstone.
I’m honestly so excited for the fifteenth chapter, pairing up the contestants against monsters “Foes of Soris” style... should be fun
*Rolls Dice* Lets the games begin...
