Alteration, Illusion, and Restoration would definitely be useful irl in populated places or in general.
Conjuration and Destruction are useful in wars and that's it
Destruction—making ice cream, starting camp fires, and keeping the lights turned on.
Conjuration—conjure copy of self so boss thinks I am at work.
Illusion—obvious
Restoration—obvious
Allteration—turn myself in to the hulk.
I think the only one that might not be feasible is Conjuration. Though summoning an apparition of yourself to go to work for you might be good!
Destruction is totally made for camping
Conjuration is useful for manual labor too. You're just gonna need a steady supply of dead bodies.... Yeah that might be hard to arrange.
Restoration would be the best, no doubt. For all we know, healing spells may cure things like cancer and even help people who were born with dangerous and deadly disabilities.
For the world? Restoration, of course.
For me? Illusion. More specifically, Clairvoyance. Finally I’d be able to find those damn keys in less than 5 minutes.
(I know in-game spell can’t point to keys, but, you know, gameplay effect.)
It could point to your keys, if your current quest was to find your keys.
Alteration is pretty epic.
Restoration is a perfectly valid school of magic!
