In the Stormcloak army it is frequent that females are among the ranks, except for the Imperial Legion apart from Legate Rikke and the players character (if chosen female) there aren’t many females Imperial troops?
Is there a reason for this?
Also I do have to mention there was a female Imperial soldier, General Jonna who commanded the Imperial Armies from Skyrim during The Great War.
Did people who lived in Cyrodiil go to Skyrim to help in the civil war effort?
Prologue Continued.
It’s a lovely sunny day in the city of Bruma. The children are playing, the guards are patrolling, and the traders are selling and buying in the market. A man is getting ready to leave the city. He is a Nord named Orion Beo-Wulf. He is preparing to leave Cyrodiil to go to Skyrim to join the Imperial Legion to help in the Civil War effort and quell Ulfric Stormcloak’s rebellion. “Mother you worry too much I’ll be fine” He said to his adopted mother, an imperial woman by the name of Mariantula Cecimius. “It’s just that what if something kills you on your way to Solitude or during your service in the Legion'' Mariantula said to Orion. “Mother, you know how many bounties I did for the count? And also you served in the Penitus Oculatus when you were young. I can handle myself” Orion replied. “I know but a mother is always worried about her son but I suppose you’re right since I did serve in the Penitus Oculatus so you joining the legion in Skyrim isn’t really any different” Mariantula said. “ Well I’d best be off. I love you mother” Orion said. “I love you too, son,” Mariantula said as they. And with that he waved goodbye and headed off to Pale Pass to go to Skyrim.
It wasn’t long before he reached the Pale Pass Border between Cyrodiil and Skyrim. The guards at the border stopped him. “Excuse me sir! What is your business at the border?” The Imperial Legate in charge said. “I wish to cross the border into Skyrim” Orion replied. “Okay but we just don’t let anyone cross the border, you’ll either need official papers or some other justification for your passage” The Legate said. “I have them right here” He said as he pulled them out of his pack. “Let’s see here… the Emperor’s signature… Septim wax stamp at the bottom… Everything seems to be in order, welcome to Skyrim!” The Legate said. “Thank you sir” Orion replied. And with that he crossed the border into Skyrim to join the Imperial Legion and defeat the Stormcloaks.
“So this is home, Skyrim… it’s quite beautiful” Orion said as soon as he crossed the border. “Right now to find Solitude” He said before heading out. He walked in the direction of what he thought was Solitude. “Where am I even going?” He asked himself before checking his map. “Damn it! I’m all the way out here in Eastmarch, not even close to Haafingar! I need to find a place to stay or else mother might be right and something might kill me…Darkwater Crossing is nearby I suppose that will have to do perhaps the residents might be friendly enough and let me stay with them then they can point me towards Solitude” He decided to head there. As he was walking he saw people in the distance they seemed to be running towards him. As they wooshed by he saw that they were Stormcloaks. Then he saw Imperial soldiers running towards him. “I see another one!” One of them said. “Gods Damn it!” Orion said knowing they were talking about him as he ran away from them. He then saw the Stormcloaks including Ulfric Stormcloak all huddled together surrounded by many Imperial soldiers. Then he saw the mighty General Tullius in his mighty Legion General Armor. “Ulfric Stormcloak, You couldn’t run from us forever. You are guilty of insurrection, murder of Imperial citizens, the assassination of King Torygg, and high treason against the Empire. It's over. You are traitors and will die traitors' deaths. Stand down and face public execution, or advance and face summary execution by my hands.” General Tullius said. “Stand down men! Very well General We surrender” Ulfric raised up his hands in surrender while his men and another man who didn’t look like a stormcloak did the same. “What in Oblivion is going on?!” Orion asked himself. He looked around to see a fist aiming towards them before losing consciousness. “Smart move Ulfric, now soldiers bind them all and gag Ulfric as well.” Tullius said. “Yes sir!” All the soldiers said. Then they bound them all including Orion as they thought he was a Stormcloak and they bound and gagged Ulfric. “Wait! That man! He is not with us!” One of the Stormcloaks said referring to Orion. “Shut up and into the Cart!” One of the Soldiers said. “I’m telling you he isn’t with us!” He said again. The Imperial Soldier drew his sword “We can do this the easy way or the hard way” he said. Ulfric looked at him as if to say “Ralof it isn’t worth it.” Ralof nodded to Ulfric and went into the cart. The Imperial Soldier took that as a “I pick the easy way” and climbed into the driver's seat of the cart “Hadvar, come with us to Helgen soldier,” Tullius said to an Imperial Soldier. “I thought we were taking them to Cyrodiil, to boost morale,” Hadvar said. “To boost morale yes, but also to give the Thalmor an advantage” Tullius replied. “Yes Sir!” Hadvar said as he took one of the Legions spare horses. Then they were off.
Prologue
The year is 201 of the 4th era. The year of our story. The reign of the Septims has long been gone ever since Martin Septim’s brave sacrifice and the sealing the gates of oblivion forever. After Martin Septim passed into history as one of the bravest emperors that ever lived, the empire fell into chaos. However Titus Mede I rose to power as he and his militia conquered the Imperial City and proclaimed himself emperor. His empire however was a shadow of its former self. Many provinces seceded from the empire. The biggest issue however was the rise of the Thalmor and the establishment of the Aldmeri Dominion. Then The Great War happened between the Empire and the Aldmeri Dominion that nearly ended the empire. It was only that the empire managed to survive another day when the empire successfully reconquered the Imperial City at the Battle of the Red Ring, They then signed the White-Gold Concordat which meant that they would live to fight another day. Most of the terms aren’t that significant to this story however the most important ones were the disbanding of the blades and the banning of Talos. Talos was the god of man and war. He was mortal like you or I. His name was Tiber Septim. He is of great importance because he founded this empire before becoming the ninth divine. The elves didn’t like everyone worshipping a man who conquered their homeland and became a god. The empire didn’t have a choice but to agree to the terms in order to survive. But the Nords however didn’t share the empire’s mindset and wanted to worship Talos again. And people should know by now about what happens when someone takes your god away. The answer is quite clear: a Civil War breaks out. And that’s what happened. In the year 176 of the fourth era, The Nords rebelled against the empire. Thus beginning the Skyrim Civil War. On one side we have the Stormcloak rebellion led by the Jarl of Windhelm, Ulfric Stormcloak himself. Their goals are simple to become independent from what they call a weak and dying empire that are puppeted by the Thalmor, restore Talos worship, and make Ulfric the High King and take on the Aldmeri Dominion. On the other side we have the Imperial Legion led by one of The emperor Titus Mede II’s greatest generals, General Tullius himself. Their goal is to make Skyrim a fully imperial province again to stand united for a Second Great War against the Aldmeri Dominion. And that is where our story begins.
For me, It would have to be the War of the Roses in England during the late 1400's. A long drawn out civil war that has two parties fighting for the the throne of England (In the same way Elisif and Ulfric are fighting for the throne of Skyrim).

I’m just asking because I want a good level sword at the end of the questline.
I have played both sides of the questlines thrice. Once to get an idea of eachother's ideas for themselves, their propaganda, and each other. In my unprofessional opinion, I think the stormcloaks are a more fun questline because it feels shorter, and you attack whiterun and appoint a new jarl. The Imperial faction is more practical (imo) because you're restoring power to the empire to go head to head with the aldmeri dominion(AD) once again. but it is slower, and less fun (i'm pro imp). The aftermath of either side has people who dislike you, and jarls dissapointed in you. theres an equal amount, so it all depends on your preferences. Regarding the possibilities of the aftermath of the war, I think that the stormcloak rebellion/army defeating the AD would be more interesting, but less realistic. The Imps recontrolling skyrim and rising up against the AD and reinstating Talos worship is much less fictional and more realistic. (I feel the need to remind the stormcloak supporters that the only people who want talos banned are the altmer, think of it like a temporary ban, until they defeat the AD. Both sides want the same thing, but are going about it how they feel is right. At the end of the Imp questline, Legate Rikke blesses Galmor and Ulfric through Talos. I got really emotional at the end of the stormcloak questline because i killed her:( she is the representation that everyone wants the same thing, but the stormcloaks are certainly in for an uphill battle because they only have 1 country(at the end of the civil war), whereas the empire has 3 (or 4?) it's (imo) easier to regain talos worship through the empire. I would love to see some points be made for either side. (I want respect for people's ideas and beliefs. please dont disrespect or insult someone because they think talos isnt a god, or that he is - its just an effing video game, but i like inspiring discussion and sharing ideas. keep it at a mundane "High Hrothgar Truce"

I want to complete this mission, but I’ve joined the Empire side of the Civil War. I haven’t yet completed the Battle for Whiterun yet, and I think it’d be best to do that battle AFTER doing “Missing in Action.” But I saw that doing this mission can cause hired thugs to come after me. Is that just once or recurring cause I had the Sigmus guy send thugs AFTER he died (weird bug LOL) cause I stole one book that I needed and it happened only once. Plus reloading old saves is not a good option for me cause my Xbox One console is really weird in that I can only have a certain number of saved game files or else it will stop saving completely and won’t save when I do it manually, and I have to delete old files in order to “revive” the save function.
The second great war has broken out across Cyrodill. Dominion troops surge across the border, taking Anvil and Kvatch in the first week of the war. The Empire had to recall most of its troops to the southern front which left Skyrim open to attack. By the Stormcloaks.
They captured Whiterun, but not without suffering serious losses. Ulfric realized he could not fight a war of attrition against the Empire so he began his march for Solitude, capturing Morthal as a staging ground. As the first soldiers were laying down their lives at the gates, the General and his command snuck out through the sewers and began their march south to Falkreath to retreat.
The first battle of Solitude was a loss by the Stormcloaks but it left castle dour virtually empty. This was the time though. The fleet had arrived. Hidden under illusion magics and expert sailing, the Dominion were ready to squash the empire in a two front war. They were ready to attack Skyrim and restore elven rule once and for all. The stage is set. Will the Thalmor take their rightful place as rulers of the Empire? Or will there be an unlikely hero waiting to stop them?

Personality: As a Knight Peak Is very honorable, even in battle. He always let's his opponent get the first hit, he never fights an unarmed aponint unless absolutely necessary, and he always tries to negotiate peace rather than violence when he can (Enless hes fighting Daerda, Vampires, or Werewolves he just kills them without mercy). That being said however, he is not totally apposed to violence and is why he chose to become a knight instead of a pacifist. He aslo went to Skyrim to join the Legion and fight the Stormcloaks (Because he only looks at the bad side of the Stormcloaks and is to dumb to see the good side.) He is also very religious worshiping all 9 Divines (Evan Talos but in secret of course) But especially Stuntar, the God of Mercy.

Stormcloaks or Imperials: As I said before Peak is to dumb to realize how evil the Empire really is how good the Stormcloaks really are. So hes gonna join the Legion, that being said he does not agree with the Empire on many matters such as the White-Gold Concordant and he only pitteys the Stormcloaks, and is upset that they can't realise what they are doing is wrong. (When really its the Empire doing what's wrong)
Dawnguard or Vampires: The Mercy of Stuntar does not extend to Vampires. Peak knows they are an evil that must be destroyed
Companions: He can not become a werewolf even if he cures himself so no, besides Peak views the Companions as a more Nordic thing rather than Imperial
College of Winterhold: Peak isn't all that interested in magic

Backstory: Peak was born Rogadius Maddoxius of Kvacth County. During the Great War the Thalmor took Kvacth County and he and his parents attempted to flee north to Bruma but were killed by Thalmor Soldiers, but when it was his turn to be killed an Imperial Knight popped out and killed the Thalmor. The Knight's name was Sir Dameudus Millerus, a devout worshiper of Stuntar and he adopted Rogadius and raised him as his own, from than on he was called Peak because of the way He looked at Dameudus when they first met eyes. As he grew up Dameudus taught Peak to be a Knight and to always be honorable, training him to fight on foot as well as horseback. When Peak Turned 18 he began adventuring with his father but all that would soon end. Just 2 years later Dameudes got sick and died. Peak was very sad he was like a real father to him, and for 5 years he didn't do Knight Stuff because he was so depressed. But after that he began to Adventure again across Cyrodiil. People always said that he should put his fighting skills to the test and join the Legion in Skyrim, and eventually he did, but when he got to Skyrim he was hit in the head with a rock and knocked out. He awoke on the cart to Helgen and you know the rest.
During the quest Season Unending, I think that the most common agreement is Markarth for Riften (I might be wrong though). Who do you think that benefits the most from the agreement? The Empire or the Stormcloacks? I personally think that this agreement is pretty good for the Empire, they control pretty close territories to Windhelm, and Ulfric have to deal now with the Reachmen that cause problems in the Reach and can really weaken his forces. Besides, Markarth is sarounded by Imperial territories. Even though the Empire might have a problem dealing with the corruption in Riften, but overall, I think that the Empire really benefits from this agreement.

On PS4 I'm attempting to join the legion. But for some reason when I talk to the general he directs me to Rikke, whom states she has no business for me. And the quest marker won't leave the general.
This is an observation I've seen from a lot of people completely underestimating damages done to a nation if it becomes battlefield for a war.
This is something that happened to the Empire during the Great War.
During Great War, damages suffered by Aldmeri Dominion is almost exclusive to military.
Arannelya's army, Naarifin and his army. They are all damages done to military.
Damages done to Empire due to Great War being fought inside Cyrodiil and Hammerfell is far greater or greatly underestimated by many people are hinted by the fact that a lot of times you are told by Imperials themselves that AD would've destroyed them. This would be collateral damages to the structure in addition to the damages done to the military.
Battle of Red Ring was a necessity to keep Empire from falling apart because entering negotiation table at that time or entering negotiation table if Red Ring had failed would result in AD taking over whether the Thalmor had enough power to keep a tight leash on all of their new Empire slaves.
Battle of Red Ring tipped the scales, but not to give Empire equal footing. Empire was still at great disadvantage.
This is not to justify any side. This is just something I want to put out to get people thinking about collateral damages in war.
To put into a perspective that most of you can probably understand
Imagine an asshole who came into your house and tries to rob you.
You fight the person who is evenly matched with you. In the end you managed to drive the person out of your house but at the expense of your living room and own room's furnitures, your phone and comp used to access internet, access Skyrim wiki being smashed.
You got a black eye from the fight but the bastard got black eye and a bloodied nose and he ran away scotfree, police couldn't find the bastard now.
Do you still think you obtained a total victory over the robber?

This topic is intended to talk purely about all the damages that can be done to the Empire and Aldmeri Dominion during the Great War. Leave politics between Stormcloaks, Imperials and Thalmor out of this Thread as far as possible.
For example, I have mentioned Reachmen conquering Markarth for a few years as a result of the damages done to the Imperial Legion. It is okay to mention anything that are detriment to the Empire or the Province as a result of the Great War. BUT when you start shifting the topic to point fingers to blame one of the three factions in the Politics I mentioned. Then that is a problem.
I believe that while getting too enthusiastic and unwttingly shifting the topic in that direction. As long as it wasn't your intentions and you don't deliberately make the topic shift even further into the Stormcloaks, Imperials and Thalmor/AD talk. It will be fine with me.
Another rule: Talking about this topic needs to shut down or attacking the thread is not welcomed. Instead of trying to deny other people their right to free speech why not you pack up and go away. Agree to disagree and get lost.
When the game started in the carriage was Lokir,Ralof,ulfric stormcloak,and yourself. If you talk to ulfric in windhelm,he said that he challegened Titus Mede to a duel,he used his voice to get him on the ground. I think he should not be executed
