Hello! i am wanting to get skyrim and i have never played it before(or any elder scrolls game for that matter) and i was wondering what are some good mods(if any) to use on my first playthrough. (im on xbox one btw)
I was thinking, I play on a console, but I really want a mod for skyrim. So, if I downloaded a mod from my computer onto a thumb drive, then transferred it into my console would the mod work? or would it be a corrupt/ unreadable file? Does anyone know?
I'm looking for a mod that gives miraak a custom face since I quite like him as a modded follower and such- but unfortunately I wasn't really able to find any. Anyone got any suggestions?
(Also mods that don't have HD quality would be appreciated, because my pc is basically a brick)
So one day I wanted to get the Jesus mod in Skyrim, I play on PC which is where I got this mod I'm not sure if it's on any other console.
Anyway I decided to download this mod and I just wanted to have a little fun with it so in this mod you have the ability to kill him and he resurrects within 10 seconds, and I did this over 40 times. Anyway a few hours later in game the Courier walked up to me and gave me 40 letters of inheritance of Jesus's death LOL.
One of the funniest mods I have ever played. The mod author who created that mod is a genius.

Just leaving this hint here for other PS4 players: I don't know which one of them causes the bug that I mentioned about the Special Jobs for the Thieves Guild in one of my posts, Dialogue Bug Fixes or USSEP, but disabling them ACTUALLY WORKED.
It most likely was both of them 'cause my big genius brain disabled only the USSEP and forgot about DBF, so when I disabled it and went back to the game Delvin gave me the Whiterun special job. So yeah... disable these fuckers if you want to become the Guildmaster OR don't do any special jobs before you become a Nightingale. That also keeps the bug in check but I didn't know.
With this, I’m starting a discussion about Skyrim mods! Write down your favourite mods, tell us what they do and why you like them and maybe you will find something interesting to download.
Don’t forget to specify on what device you’re playing and if it’s normal Skyrim or Skyrim Special Edition!
Have fun.
PS: I’d recommend Oblivion players starting a similar discussions about it, which I won’t do, as I don’t have any experience with the game.

The mods are for Skyrim PS4, it doesn’t matter what kind of mods they are, (like graphics and npc personality), but tell me what they are called, what they do, and how much storage / memory is required and what kind of mods they are.
Edit: sorry for spamming, the wikis just get really boring with no activity.
So I posted something to see what mods I should try to learn to make but I can’t make those ones so I have to ask again but this time for different mods. So what mods should I make once I learn how to?
I’m thinking of learning how to make mods. If I do, what kind of mods would you like and use details please, I get confused easily. I might not be able to make all of your ideas so I’ll hold a vote afterwards to see which ones I’ll make.

For those who have played Trainwiz's The Wheels of Lull, I've always pondered the true identity of Llavados. Do you have any theories?
I always thought he was Sotha Sil, in some form or other, with it being a sequel to Sotha Sil Expanded, and with uploading Sotha into his creation, if I were Trainwiz, that's what I would have done. But what do you think?
You just have that tingle of the mod being Canon, but you KNOW that it's just a mod. Man does this hurt, and I have just finished Rigmor of Bruma recently. Super Good mod, but damn, if that had REALLY been about the Second Great War, Bethesda's rep would skyrocket with TES 6. Except, of course, mods aren't canon, and our brains can only be teased.
this mod won't lead you to Elsweyr ! it's an adventure that takes place on the way to Elsweyr. Nice, exciting and beautiful. But i thaught was i was playing was a sort of "access quest". No. The mod ends when the journey is over,
Now we got that out of the way

Only the Khajiit know the secret paths of the moon that lead the followers of the Mane back to Elsweyr. Now one of these paths is open to the dova of Skyrim, long thought lost this path leads to a base deep in the hart of the jungles of in Elsweyr. Enjoy the custom tropical foliage, forest queen spiders, river crabs, quests and a uniq
Before playing the mod
you need to understand the context of that mod's development. It was produced, in its entirety, before the Creation Kit even came out. Everything was done by deconstructing Bethesda's original assets and rebuilding them in the primitive 3rd party programs available at the time. That's why, for instance, the entire mod technically takes place indoors, with the sky just simulated through some nifty behind the scenes work. So it may not hold up altogether well these days (outside of the voice acting, which is pretty great), but its a technological masterpiece."
So yeah, ya gotta give Moonpath its due. Granted, ya may not care much for any of that but hey, even with all of the problems around Moonpath.. its still better than 90% of the new lands/quest mods on nexus. (very sad to say that :( ) and given how early it came onto the scene and how old it is, you can imagine it's acquired many (too many?) endorsements over the last 3 years & counting.
Back in 2012 when Bethesda's Creation Kit was released, the mod scene exploded. It's cute to look back on how we made mods they were to cheat your way out and having fun if the game doesn’t have enough goats? Download the goat summoning mod. More dog eyebrows? Mod some in. Giants not big enough? Download the bigger giants mod. Skyrim is going nuts. In a very good way."
Of course people made mods even without the Creation Kit, but it brought ambitious, sweeping changes within reach of anyone willing to dig through its wiki. It was a particular boon to quest mods like Moonpath to Elsweyr, which appeared so suddenly people were convinced it had been in the works before the Creation Kit was released. But no, modder Tomas Sala, who released Moonpath under the name "muppetpuppet", was able to quickly make multiple new locations, creatures, and fully voiced questlines solely using the Creation Kit. He did have one advantage, though—over 10 years of experience as a 3D artist and developer.
He says
"It was sort of an escape from the work-for-hire game jobs I was involved in at the time," he says, "a creative release. I actually found out that quite a few notable modders were industry veterans as well."
...none of it was planned, and it was all uploaded piecemeal as soon as it was playable.
Tomas Sala
It was his first mod and although it would be eclipsed by later ones with pro-level writing like enderal , it's still fun to go back to. It's been updated for Skyrim Special Edition too, which is nice. I like being able to play it in a version of Skyrim that doesn't freak out when I alt-tab away from it.
Moonpath begins with a caravan trip from Falkreath, following the hidden byways of the Khajiit. The central location is a player home in the waterways of a jungle canyon, but later on you get access to a skyship captained by a Khajiit pirate complete with terrible accent who ferries you to a tropical island ruin.
Conclusion
Mooonpath has an important place in the history of Skyrim modding. Its monsters, trees, even the airship have all been reused in other mods. It's even been incorporated into the legcyvof the dragonborn , a mod that adds a museum dedicated to the player's victories which you slowly fill with Skyrim's unique quest items. There are entire rooms dedicated to daedric artifacts and books, and a display that unlocks when you finish Moonpath—a little shrine that makes it feel as significant as any of the game's official questlines.
Sala's modest about his achievement. "I had the most fun with the environments," he says. "I think the best description for the Moonpath is 'a holiday away from icy Skyrim'. It's more of a tour of cool locations than anything else."
If you want me to do more mod showcase if the feedback is good
This is for my good friend @SPLUMBER sry for calling you a filthy peasant it was a joke hopefully me and you are on speaker terms

The search for a legendary cheese recipe sets you out on a journey across Skyrim. Explore new dungeons and meet memorable characters voiced by an extensive cast of nine excellent voice actors.
I was expecting a short average-quality joke mod, but instead, what I got was a lore friendly 4-hour quest adventure with very high production values. The missions were well crafted, the dungeons were well designed, and the voice acting was good. It provided some really good laughs, while not being excessively
silly - it would not be out of place in a serious
playthrough. The jokes were not too cheezy
(pun intended). In my opinion, the quality of this
mod is on par with "Helgen Reborn" or "Interesting NPCs".Don't get put off by the complainers saying things like "lots of bugs" and "meh". There are a few bugs, but they are minor and easy to ignore or work around.
The mods has some glitches this is how to prevent them
To fix the Dar"Zem bug:Get to the point where you walk up to him and you freeze in place. Use the console command enableplayercontrols and attack Dar'Zem. Use Master level pacification spells to calm the Khajiit down. Then go to Baltazar's Hideout. Go through the dungeon until you kill Baltazar. If you get frozen in place, use enableplayercontrols to fix it. Next, after leaving the dungeon, return to Dar'Zem. You should be able to continue the quest normally.
To fix the bug where Willy doesn't give reward:Type the console command: setstage aldquest2 500Talk to Willy about the cheese
This is from Euro gamer it says
The quest has clearly been crafted with care (and some very convincing voice acting),
I know this is trash not good i liked the mod and I thought that splumber would like it and hopefully you do
Conclusion
This mod is an easy 10/10. Bethesda themselves couldn't make a better DLC. I got this for fuckin' free. God bless the team that made this mod, !The best part is when you kill Ra'gvi and Trygve tells you how frigging awesome it was that you nailed him.

2. A quality world map the skyrim map is functional but a bit boring black and white is boring this mood allowes more textures and gives the game a more live felling
3. Skyrim ui Skyrim's original UI is, well, terrible. SkyUI makes it easier to use, more pleasant to read, and much more useful for sorting through your loot and menus. Most importantly, SkyUI adds a mod configuration menu to the pause screen, letting you tweak and adjust compatible mods
4.2k textures
replaces Skyrim's textures: sky, water, architecture, clothing, clutter, reflections, and so on, of the cities, towns, dungeons, and landscapes. There's a full version if your PC can handle btw it has a lite version which makes run things a little nicer
5 legacy of the dragonborn
Legacy of the Dragonborn adds a gallery in Solitude where you can keep mementos of your time in Skyrim. It's a museum about you, with space for almost every unique item in the game. All those quest rewards and Daedric artifacts you went to so much trouble to earn but don't use can be displayed in a beautiful building with its own library, store room and more. The curator hands out quests to help fill it,
6 undeath Undeath is a quest in which you're tasked with wiping out an evil cabal of necromancers, with the twist that you can choose to continue their dark unholy work.
7 moon path to elsweyr
For those who are sick of snowy mountains, Moonpath to Elsweyr offers two brand new environments: lush jungle and barren desert. This quest mod takes you to the Khajit homeland of Elsweyr, which you can travel across in your airship. Did I mention you get an airship
8 decent into madness
Take a nap in your bed in Breezehome and you'll be transported into the realm of Sheogorath, where two nations called Madness and Dementia are engaged in an eternal clash of the crazies. Each side offers a different, hour-long questline full of puzzles and riddles
9 frostfall
It's cold in Skyrim, and Frostfall lets you really feel it. An immersive survival system tracks weather, climate, time of day, and even the type of clothing you're wearing to determine how cold you are. It also allows you to gain experience in terms of camping and endurance skill
Finally 10
