Which main quest line do you like finishing first? Regardless of which side you pick
Which main quest line do you like finishing first? Regardless of which side you pick
This question has definitely been asked on this wiki before and probably theorised about on YouTube and the like, but... How will the Civil War end (canonically) in TES 6? As in, will it be mentioned that the Imperials won or the Stormcloaks won, regardless of what side the Dragonborn took? Or will it rather not mention it at all?
From what I've seen, side quests like that are sometimes not canon (for example the Mage's Guild questline in Morrowind), I think it just doesn't matter at all what the player chose. Bethesda will be like most game developers and just make sure to weave around it, making it vague or just pretend like it never happened.
Anyone have a good reasonable and defendable idea on the true scale of Windhelm, like for population size what would you say a city like that would look like without the limitations of the game engine? what would the size of the stormcloak army be then? Assuming the imperial legion presence is only a single legion of 5,500 legionaries, would the stormcloaks match that in size with all of the sons and daughters of skyrim? Using Leo Torres’ videos on youtube of reimagining the scale of skyrim cities using Unreal engine 5, there must be at least 5,500 to match right? Any thoughts?
Why isn’t there a third option in the civil war questline to broker peace? They could’ve made it a dlc and everything I mean after all they’re just gonna make it canon to where no side wins in the next one so why not make it a third option broker peace between the two and in the dlc that they could’ve made you fight the thalmor and for those who didn’t make peace you still have to fight the thalmor because if you sided with empire now they’re recovering from splitting even more of their resources and if you sided with stormcloaks now you are a sovereign nation and recovering from a war and then if you brokered peace now it’s a united front after all that’s what they’re gonna make cannon timeline wise anyways
Hi everyone, I've bought back skyrim in my ps4, and while doing the Civil War missions I remained stuck reconquering the Winterhold because Rikke doesn't give me the speech
Fastest way to solve?
Can Nerevarine defeat every enemy in Skyrim, or survive any situation and quest that Dragon Born also went through? what are your thoughts and opinions?
Note: I understand why people who side with Ulfric sided with him...or least in most regards. Note: This is my opinion, so forgive me for my opinion and if I press my opion against you.
I believe that the Empire should win. Why? Well Ulfric decided to challenge the Empire over the fact that the Empire "betrayed" them (note: the Empire did have to break the treaty in order to not cause even more chaos but when the Thalmor found out, it resulted in the Empire having to arrest Ulfric even though the Empire had allowed the free worship of Talos. These actions made him later on challenge the Empire and Torygg.) and that the Empire "weakened" Skyrim. So what did Ulfric do, he went to the High King and instead of diplomacy and having a debate over the issues, he challenged Torygg and killed him with his thu'um. Ulfric also disliked the Empire because it had to sign a peace treaty that banned the worship of Talos. But again instead of diplomacy, Ulfric decided that he should fight the Thalmor by...starting a rebellion. Also the Thalmor had little to no dictatorship over Skyrim and didn't spy on the people who still worshiped Talos in private. Now, the Thalmor are a dime a dozen, arresting the people after Ulfric decided to throw a rebellion. Also, his plan to stop the Thalmor by doing an armed rebellion against the Imperials thus having them have their already weak military to go to Skyrim to deal with Ulfric instead of protecting the weakening Empire from the Thalmor or other threats. Also if Ulfric won then the Empire would be backed in a corner because if Skyrim is captured then The Empire can't retreat to it if they need to. Also Ulfric could have just sent a letter to the Empire expressing his concerns instead of doing a rebellion and riot.
Now yes, Ulfric does have valid points as well for it but I believe that Ulfric could done these actions(the rebellion and duel) as a last resort.
So the way I see it, no matter what at the end of the Civil War questline, you have taken over half of Skyrim including Whiterun, or defended Whiterun and taken over the remainder of Skyrim. This is where my idea that, even if you're on Ulfric's side, there should've been a moot at High Hrothgar where the new Jarl's voted for you to become the High King due to being the best warrior and leader in all of Skyrim. You were the deciding factor in the civil war, you're the Dragonborn, and the first Emperor was also a Dragonborn. After being voted to be High King, Ulfric should've gotten up, angrily, and challenged you to a duel. One that would be extremely easy since, you know, you're the Dragonborn.
It is my belief that no matter what, after the events of Skyrim, the Dragonborn became High King, or maybe even Emperor.
I don’t know why, but I’ve decided to share the tale of an old ‘Braveheart’ inspired playthrough I did a long time ago.
Our story begins with Ragnar, a woodcutter living in the town of Woodhaven in Falkreath (not a real town). Ragnar was a cheerful, fighting man living in Falkreath Hold with his wife Maevalia (Dunmer). When the Civil War began Ragnar felt no need to join either side, despite the constant hounding from local Imperial Soldiers.
On a fateful day in Second Seed, Ragnar raised his sword against the Empire for the first time when he stopped a Legate’s attempt at raping his wife. For the assault against the Legate, the Empire chased him and Maevalia into the forest with the intent to kill them. Once they had gotten away, Ragnar turned to his wife, only to find her with an arrow in her back, dead. He howled to the sky and cursed the Empire before burying her under the starlight. The next day Ragnar returned to his hometown, a very different man with the intent to kill. He gathered his brothers-in-arms, and together they slew every Imperial within the town walls, forming a new small resistance.
For a time they holed up in Woodhaven, scouting the local woods and killing any Imperials they found, until Ragnar was taken captive alongside a group of Stormcloaks, including Jarl Ulfric. They were taken to Helgen to be executed, where Ragnar first met Tullius, the Imperial General. With his death near, Ragnar felt nothing, just as he had not since that day so many months ago, as if his heart had turned to stone. But then, from the sky rained a black shadow…a dragon, just as a ragged stranger was about to be beheaded. In the chaos Ragnar escaped with the stranger and a Stormcloak named Ralof. While they went to Riverwood, Ragnar found his men outside Helgen, fending off Imperial soldiers. Once he regrouped with them, they returned to Woodhaven to find a Stormcloak officer waiting for them. He carried a message from Ulfric Stormcloak, wishing to meet with Ragnar in Riften. On that day, Ragnar and his men joined the Stormcloak Rebellion.
Ragnar quickly gained fame and infamy among the ranks of the army. He had become famed for never losing a single battle he fought, but became known for never sparing an enemy or taking prisoners, even if they surrendered. He even burned down Falkreath’s capital during the attack on it. For this the Stormcloaks called him “Ironheart,” for his cold and unfeeling nature. During the siege of Whiterun, Ragnar marched into Dragonsreach and single-handedly slew Jarl Balgruuf’s bodyguards, before beheading Balgruuf (lets just pretend you can do this in-game) and bringing his head back to Ulfric, much to the Jarl’s shock and surprise. However, to the surprise of his comrades, Ragnar spared the life of Balgruuf’s Dunmer housecarl, Irileth.
While most of the Stormcloaks were indifferent to the Dunmer in Windhelm’s Grey-Quarter, Ragnar became a good friend to them and helped take care of their needs, even convincing Ulfric to help out. One night, a drunken Rolf Stone-Fist insulted Ragnar’s late wife directly, sending him into a fit of rage in which Ragnar beat him within an inch of his life. The act was condemned by Jarl Ulfric, though Galmar Stone-Fist was more angered by his brother’s gall to insult a man’s dead wife. From that day on Rolf never interacted with Ragnar or the Dunmer ever again.
SIDE NOTE: I never actually finished this playthrough, but this is how I would’ve liked it to have ended:
With his axe in hand Ragnar took almost all of Skyrim from the Empire, from Whiterun to The Reach, slaughtering every Imperial that stood before him, until only Solitude remained. However, Ulfric strongly refused to attack the city, due to Vittoria Vici’s wedding. Enraged by the Jarl’s decision, Ragnar gather any man that would follow him and marched towards the capital and attacked during the wedding. Outnumbered and hopeless, the warriors fell with honor until only Ragnar remained. It took 40 of the greatest soldiers to restrain him and render him unconscious, and only 29 of them survived. On that day, for his crimes of treason and genocide, Ragnar was to be executed in the Castle Dour Courtyard. In his final moments he shouted towards the heavens; “Talos! I beseech you! Grant the people of Skyrim freedom! In the name of Maevalia, my love, I go to you now, in your mighty hall of Sovngarde! FREEEDOOOOOM!!” His final cry before his head rolled.
His head was to be sent to Imperial City, but Solitude was captured by the Stormcloaks and Tullius killed before they could send it. As they charged through the gates, the Stormcloak Soldiers could be heard shouting the name “Ragnar!” After the battle, his body was recovered and returned to Woodhaven, rested alongside his lover where he’d buried her so long ago. Woodhaven became the new capital of Falkreath Hold, and held a celebration for a week in his honor, erecting a statue on the outskirts of the town. Legend says that in Sovngarde he aided the Dragonborn and the Tongues against Alduin, some even say Ragnar felled the dragon himself. On the day the Jarls convened The Moot, Ulfric refused to take the throne he fought so hard for, saying “Only the noblest Nord deserves the throne of Skyrim. A man who fought not for freedom or glory, but for love. And now he rests in Sovngarde.”
I hope you enjoyed this tale. At some point I’d like to tell everyone about my more recent playthrough inspired by ‘The Northman’ as well, so hopefully people like this one.

He is a Khajiit Thief swordsman in a Skyrim without the main questline so no dragons. Also no DLC besides Hearthfire. He will not be doing and guild questlines past what little he did to get cool thief armors. So far, my ideas are Destroy The Dark Brotherhood, one of the major Dragon Priest mask quests, possibly the Civil War or simply maxing out one or some of Shades major skills. What do you think would be a fitting way to end a playthrough outside of the traditional main and guild questlines?

The war has started. It has been 5 years since Skyrim Civil War and the Dragon Crisis. The Imperials have gathered and assaulted the Thalmor Embassy in Skyrim at night. The same happened at Cyrodiil and High Rock. Having eliminated the fortresses where they kept prisoners and freed them, none of the Thalmor was left alive. They assaulted the Dominion border and ambushed their navy. Although the eradication of the Thalmor was successful, the border attack was destroyed and they had to go full defensive. They besieged and conquered Skingrad and conquered a part of Leyawiin and Bravil and are marching towards the Imperial City, burning everything to the ground. The Imperial navy pushes to Valenwood and they destroy the Dominion's naval forces to secure that there are no naval reinforcements but they sooner or later retreat to help the ground force.
They pushed though and threaten the Imperial City. But that's when the Dragonborn, Sir Demetrius the Knight of the Imperial Dragon returns back to his homeland and fights the Dominion. General Tullius also returned. The Imperial City is besieged, Dominion soldiers break the walls and enter. Their leaders was a very experienced Altmer general who invaded the rest of Cyrodiil and the Thalmor representative Sanywennar Anaedael. Their mission, kill the Emperor and deactivate the White-Gold Tower. Demetrius knew what was going to happen and charged to defend the Tower.
Meanwhile the Thalmor are about to finish an Imperial commander named Bruton Closario:
Bruton: 'By the Nine! Have mercy!'
Anaedael: 'Nine? What did we told you about Talos?'
Bruton: 'You narcissistic racist scum! The only reason Im asking mercy is to kill more of you!'
Anaedael: 'You puny lesser humans! We descend from the gods, you just worship them because they forced you to! Now submit to Elven supremacy!'
Bruton: 'To Oblivion with you, elf!'
Bruton dies by an elven sword.
General Anaedael makes an announcement:
Anaedael: Submit to the Dominion. Its not too late. Put down your swords, renounce Talos and accept the fact that you are a lesser race.
Imperial Soldiers: Never!!!!
Anaedael: So you have chosen death. That can be arranged!
As the Aldmeri Soldiers are sacking the city, Sir Demetrius appears on horseback.
Demetrius: Remember the Emperor!
Dominion Soldier: Die human scum!
Demetrius: FUS RO DAH!
A Thalmor agent called Ancamircil Thramire in full Elven armor and a sword and shield challenges him to a duel.
Ancamircil: You're no ordinary human. But a human is not superior to an elf! I will best you!!!
Ancamircil casts Destruction spells while Demetrius's enchanted heavy armor protects him from all mighty spells alongside his Restoration knowledge. He puts his sword into a sheathe and throws down his shield, puttin out the Warhammer, charging at him and crushes his armor. Nearly dead, he tries to run away with all his powers but then gets smashed mercilessly. Then he sheathes the warhammer, pulls out the sword and picks up the shield and mounts his horse again. He killed dozens of Thalmor soldiers and saved many people, and then met Anaedael fighting General Tullius:
Tullius: You're a fine warrior. I have to admit it, I have never fought an elven scum as good as you!
Anaedael: Die human!!!!
Tullius mortally wounds Anaedal
Tullius: Any last words, elf?
Anaedael: To Oblivion with you!
Tullius executes Anaedael. The Dominion has been repelled from the city. Demetrius arrives:
Demetrius: Kind of late in the party, huh?
Tullius: I should have given you the honor. I completely forgot you were here.
Demetrius: Never mind. You must get some glory too. I'm glad you did it.
Tullius: Thanks. Nobody has spoken to me like that.
Demetrius and Tullius make an announcement:
Demetrius: Beloved citizens of the Imperial City! The Dominion has been repelled. For good. We will be launching assaults at County Bravil, Skingrad and Leyawiin.
Tullius: Enlist if you want to serve your nation! Enlist if you want to stand out and be a hero! Enlist if you want to bring glory to your name!
Tullius and Demetrius: Praise the Empire!!! Praise the Emperor!!! Praise the Legion!!! Praise the Nine!!!!!!!!!
Citizens and Soldiers: *Cheers*
Everyone leaves and they focus on burying the dead and rebuilding the walls.
Tullius: Guess I don't suck that much in speeches.
Demetrius: Yeah, I remember the one in Windhelm was very inspiring. You didn't realize it
Tullius: Yeah I am getting old now. But I can still fight and protect the people. That's what matters
They go to their homes and prepare for another assault.
After completing the Battle for Fort Hraggstad, Galmar Stone-Fist may give you the quest "Battle for Solitude" and tell you to meet Ulfric Stormcloak for orders, but the quest marker stays on Galmar's head, and there will be no quest marker for the Battle for Solitude. Ulfric won't be at the Stormcloak Solitude camp as you would expect but instead will be at the gates of Solitude.
This bus is so common I found it word for word at The Battle for Fort Hraggstad | Elder Scrolls | Fandom. Has anybody found a way around this yet?
I have a divine god race mod for Skyrim AE, and I want to make a god that will bring balance to the world. The problem is, is that I don't have any clue how to name a god, nonetheless a nordic god. I already know there is Tiber Septim (Talos). But I want to make my own legacy! And I was thinking of making them The High King (I have a mod to do that). If someone could give me some good ideas for either/all a name, a civil war side to choose, whether or not they are a boy or a girl, a good look for them, and/or an armor mod to make them look like the high king/a god, that would be awesome!
Thank you,
Darth Llewol
PS. So far I was thinking of a male nord god named "Balfryn" I am going to make him High King, and I don't know which side to choose, what look to give him, etc. Please help!

Note 1: I want to be clear here this isn't a flame bait or trolling, I sincerely want to know the truth.
Note 2: I made a "part 1" and "part 2" of "A question to all Stormcloaks supporters" and they are not in my bookmark, so I can't post the link to them here.
Having a heated conversation with a Stormcloak supporter on Youtube lead me to create this thread. So I will ask here the same questions I asked him.
If Ulfric does retake Skyrim for the Nords:
1) Do you think the Thalmor are going to stop hunting down Talos worshippers? And that the remaining Nords can stand up for themselves dare the Dominion invade Skyrim?
2) Do you think that Skyrim can be self-reliant without the resources it gets via trade with the rest of the Empire? Most farmers in Skyrim can barely keep their farms productive enough, as is.
3) Do you think that the working class in Skyrim, consisting mostly of non-Nords, will tolerate the racism of Ulfric and his lackeys?
4) What about the people that sided with the Empire? Is it realistic to believe that everything will be fine and dandy for them with the Stormcloaks winning? Wasn't Galmar too blood-thirsty for battle against his fellow Nords who sided with the Empire (“so let them die with their false kings”)?
5) Who will Skyrim, or rather, the Stormcloaks trade with once they're independent? Succession from the Empire will also mean sacrificing her trade partners and inflow from Cyrodiil, the central province and cultural melting pot. Breaking away means neither Cyrodiil nor High Rock wouldn’t trade with Skyrim. Hammerfell wouldn't trade with Skyrim, as Skyrim would demand far too much coin for its produce, needless to say Hammerfell's cities of Dragonstar and Elinhir are still held by the power-hungry hands of the Nords. They hate one another. Elsweyr, Summerset Isle, and Valenwood are a no because they are owned by the Aldmeri Dominion. Morrowind is in ruins, and Black Marsh is isolated and want that to be that way. They don't want foreign influences.

1) How does Tullius think Ulfric’s men would even make it that far into Imperial territory?
2) Why doesn’t it look like Karthwasten has been massacred and why does no one there mention it?
3) How can you massacre Karthwasten when there’s fucking nothing there to massacre? Seriously, it’s like 5 or 6 bums living in two shacks and a mine.
4) Even if he did massacre Karthwasten, who gives a flying shit? It’s so insignificant to the game that not even the Forsworn or the dragons care about it enough to attack it.
hey how's it's goin my brothers and sisters here on this beautiful planet of Nirn😉 but for real tho, do any of you guys also think it's unfair and maybe biased in Skyrim that no matter which side you chose, you can literally craft Imperial armor at smithing forges but NOT Stormcloak armor?? or at LEAST let BOTH the faction's armors be up for sale by any of the city's merchants so we can buy the armor pieces if we don't have the sufficient materials needed to make Imperial/Stormcloak armor.
