I have an issue where Loud and Clear will not clear from my journal. It has not affected the gameplay or completion of the questline, but it is annoying. Has anyone ever run into this problem and found a fix?
Of course they don't have divorce. She could kill him though. Anyway, I was speaking figuratively. As to never hearing that line before--I did not quote the line which was spoken. I don't know exactly what it was--he asked her to have a drink with him or something and she said no, she wasn't ready for that sort of thing yet. I won't say why she wasn't ready because that would be a spoiler for a little mini-quest. That part about troll-dung was MY thought.
Sorry--forgot to log in. The above was from me.
I can confirm this bug. Christer just says "Hmmm?" or "You want something from me?" when I try to talk to him.
(Whups--this is on PC for me.)
I create my own followers and I find that anytime I have one with the MaleNord Accented voice, the female sultry voice and the normal Nord female voice, this conversation initiates whenever the three are together. I don't believe it's a glitch.
Which Jarl? Which quest?
Let us not forget the Skull of Corruption. I hate getting that one. I like Erandur.
And yes--Lars needs to grow a pair.
I have never had a problem with acquiring either quest and working them together. The only time I ever had an issue was when I tried to talk to Falk with only him and the man from Dragon Bridge in the room. The Jarl must be there and all the normal courtiers and Varnius must give his spiel before Falk will have the correct dialogue. However, I am on PC. There may be different bugs on 360.
Yes, I had already tried the setstage TG02 200 but it did not clear the journal entry--didn't do anything at all. I've already completed the full questline and have my armor. It's really just an annoyance--I like to cross everything off my "To Do" list. Only an obsessive compulsive like me would be bothered by it.
Thanks for responding.

All the normal courtiers need to be in the room--Erikur, Bryling, etc. If they've gone home for the night, the quest will not start.
Kasra and Conall returned to the group. Conall walked slowly, as if he were very sore, but it was apparent that Kasra had healed him. He had a steely look in his eye and his face was grim. Kasra was calm but anger simmered behind her eyes.
"I don't think that's what he mean't, Braum. He's hurt, he asks you to find me--he needs help!"
Kasa spun Veranwen toward Ranulf. "We're not finished, Ranulf."
She ran for the gates and the Necromancer's house to find Conall.
"Exactly what did he say, Braum?"
"Now. How can I prove to you that I'm telling the truth? Documents? A signet ring?" Ranwulf asked. "I've got nothing on me, but there might be something in Veranwen's bag."
"You dump it and look through it, Ranulf. You've only explained one part of what I'm asking--the part about the Empire not being able to find the prisoners. I also want to know if the Emperor directly authorized this mission, what it is you ARE hiding, because there's been something going on between you and Veranwen from the beginning--and while we're at it--why that guard at the Pass acted so strangely."
"Find Kasra for me," he said.
....
"Huh-uh. Not till I'm sure you've come completely clean--and you saying she didn't know anything doesn't prove a thing. She hesitated about something back at the Inn and so she must know something about something. There's more to this than you've told us. You and Veranwen have been trading looks since the beginning. You promised Conall answers and never gave them--even if it wasn't about this. This whole business feels slimy. If you are truly working for the Emperor, I find it hard to believe that they would have started this whole business without doing a thorough job of finding the whereabouts of at least one prisoner who could tell us where Novo is. I also find it hard to believe that a healer who wasn't a prisoner would associate himself with another Necromancer--in Solitude no less! After what he did, he should have found the deepest hole he could crawl into and pulled a rock in after him!"
(I'm having trouble loading the page.
I gotta think about my reply.)
(I believe it's your move. You should start a new part, though--and move it to one of the RP Wiki's.)
(FYI, you'd better start a new part and move it to the Sandbox Wiki. The Grim Reaper is stalking the halls.)
