<p>What system are you on? If on PC, you could open the Console Window and type 'prid xx0285c3' (without quotes and replacing xx with whatever the load order of Dragonborn is [easy way is to click on something with the console open on solstiem]) then type 'moveto player' </p>

<p>I was actually planning on replying Ottoman...anyways, I haven't noticed it lately-I have two places I watch for the thing-just across the bridge from Anga's Mill and Nightcaller Temple. I think it was a glitch with the save. </p>

</p><p>Now that that's out of the way, the issue at hand is this: the Blades hate Paarthurnax because he was Alduin's lieutenant during the Dragon War and feel he should deserve to die for that reason, and that reason alone. They don't care that he helped stop his brother not just once (the heroes of old as we see with the Elder Scroll), but TWICE (where he helps the Dragonborn stop him again). Heck, with their dragophobia (and by that I mean fear of dragons, not anything else), I'm surprised they don't get after your character for being able to summon Odahviing at will! The only bigger hypocrite in the game (at least in my mind) are the Thalmor </p>

<p>I think that's why mods (and this work-around) are so nice. The Blades just want every dragon dead. Myself? I may APPEASE the Blades, but I don't agree with them or even do any of the quests. Might just leave it open-ended this playthrough, get a set of Greybeard robes, and meditate in High Hrothgar

I think the only fault Paarthurnax has is what he did in the past and the Blade's inability to look past what he did so long ago. In my eyes, Paarthurnax made up (at least partly, if not fully) for his actions by teaching the Thu'um to the Heroes of Old so they could try and DEFEAT Alduin. The Blades can't seem to see the good the old dragon has done since and see only the bad he did back then. </p>

Without console commands or mods? Unlikely. My work-around came from tinkering with other questlines and then applying that knowledge to this quest. If you do go with mods, might be best to use Nexus-you tend to get more complete stuff that way. </p>
