You can kill a Markarth guard at the far end of the road closer to the farm and not get caught. I'm sure there are similar instances in other holds
^^I obviously wasn't counting the realms of Oblivion and Aetherius as a Multiverse, and was referring exclusively to alternate realities...did you think I've never heard of Oblivion?
Regardless, I prefer when the lore just saw alternate realities as an afterthought. Now it's, as I said, open to it. I really do not want cliche plots of parallel universal influence. (And no I'm not referring to Dragon Breaks either)
So that's how Fingers of the Mountain is supposed to work...
Also, unfortunately I have no idea
^It is! A very underrated character that I'm glad got artistic rep
^I think it's expecting us to assume Azura launches megalasers at her foes. Completely original idea to Legends, though.
By the way, my favorite is actually tied like 10 ways. Here's another.
I forgot about Lyg
Yeah I was just being nice. This opens up the lore to a multiverse 🙄
I thought they ended the idea after the Summerset plot.
Thank you! Very interesting.
^Depends on artist
^^Yes, I very much agree. Oblivion cards are my favorite.
Love how they use Oblivion's gear style too, affirming the idea that differences in weapon/armor styles between games are merely regional style motifs in lore.
^^I knew you were a fan, considering you have (an Atvelonis edit of) one of the best cards in the game as your pfp, haha. Mankar Camoran's card is so refreshing in contrast to his Oblivion potato look
Nooo the card art was so awesome
^This
Necro spells' biggest flaw imo
What if they're an elven/beastfolk werewolf/vamp?
"He's not your friend! He's no longer...human? Folk?"
Homies
You mean the modaphone?
Must be some sort of Discord inside joke or something
Hmm, true I guess
Okay maybe that isn't a "both worlds" scenario but you get what I mean
I've been letting this stew, and I think a combination of the two ideas would be best. I think that anything taking place after Skyrim should be limited to games, and a show should be used exclusively for settings that have a zero chance of being in a game. At first I was thinking it would be a prequel series about awesome background lore that hasn't been seen on-screen (Alessian Rebellion, Tiber Wars), but that would be mostly appealing to less casual fans, arguably a minority of the audience.
But a story adjacent to the story of one of the games would be the best of both worlds. An example of this would be The Life of Saint Juib. It would be an effective cinematic interpretation of Morrowind, connected partially to the game's story, but won't actually follow it. Morrowind would also be a wonderful setting for its uniqueness and capability for a special effects showcase.
Another idea is an anthology series about Tamriel during the Oblivion crisis, tackling a theme familiar to the fans while also encorporating a unique storyline. I for one would love to see the Daedric attack of Ald'Ruhn, the Argonians completely wipe the floor with Dagon's forces, as well as things that definitely happened but were never talked about, like Oblivion gates appearing in Skyrim.
