This is an idea I came up with for a new class called the Squallshaper. Some of the skills are inspired by abilities/ mechanics of bosses already in the game. I just put X for percentages/ damage stats of abilities and passives since I didn’t want to make the class to OP or too underperforming, obviously ZoS would do a much better job at balancing these things out and I can’t put exact numbers for active abilities since damage numbers scales of certain factors in eso such as buffs and gear, etc. I was probably a bit lazy with some of the naming of abilities and their functions but it took me along time to write all this out and just wanted to be done with it. So let me know what you think of this idea and if you would play the Squallshaper if it was a class in eso.
Squallshaper are a unique class of water mages that specialise in the summoning of ocean spirits, manipulation of water and abyssal Sload magic. Like all other classes the Squallshapers have three of their own class skill lines which are: Spirits of the Sea, Hydromancy & Abyssal Magic. This class introduces a new type of damage; water damage, which has a chance to apply a new type of status effect called “drenched” which increases damage taken by damage over time effects for 4 seconds.

Ultimate Abilities
Sea Godess’ Hope
While this ability is slotted on either bar gain minor protection and when you fall to 0% heath a spirit of the sea will pass through your body sacrificing itself and healing you to full health. Gain X Magicka and stamina per ultimate spent. This ability costs 50% of your current ultimate and cannot be spent manually and is only activated when you hit 0% health. After this ability is activated an ally can activate the “Spirit Residue” synergy, granting 20 ultimate to themselves and allies.
Sea Godess’ Rejuvination (Morph)
You now restore more magicka and stamina per ultimate spent.
Sea Godess’ Blessing (Morph)
Now costs 25% of your current ultimate.
Active Abilities
Exploding Eel 🔥
Summon an eel that jumps to a nearby target and explodes dealing water damage and to enemies near the initial target.
Electrical Eel (morph)🔥
Deals shock damage instead of water damage and applies minor vulnerability.
Eel Triplets (morph) ⚔️
Now summons three eels in one cast, the eels attack consecutively and each hit increases the damage of the subsequent hit.
Ornaug Spirit ⚔️
Summon an Ornaug spirit to fight for you until it dies. It’s basic bite attacks deal physical damage, and if there are no enemies within melee range of the Ornaug it will charge at the closest enemy within 8 meters knocking over the enemy and setting them off balance.
Ornaug Guardian (morph) ⚔️
Reactivating this ability grants you and the Ornaug a damage shield.
Ornaug Hunter (morph) ⚔️
Reactivating this ability enrages the Ornaug for 20 seconds causing its bite attacks to apply bleed to enemies, enemies under 20% health take bonus damage from bleed attacks caused by the Ornaug.
Sullen Lamia ⚔️
Summon a Lamia spirit for 10 seconds that lets out a cry causing an earthquake below applying minor cowardice and dealing physical damage to enemies within 10 meters of it.
Truculent Lamia (Morph) ⚔️
Has a higher chance to apply the sundered status effect.
Obstreperous Lamia (Morph) ⚔️
Reduces the damage, enemies in range are now feared.
Water Wraith 🔥
Summon a water wraith (creature similar to ice wraith but with as if made of water) to fight for you 24 seconds. It has a channeled water breath attack that deals water damage in a cone in front of it and lasts for 4 seconds, they channel this attack every 2 second.
Efficient Wraith (morph) 🔥
Increases the chance of applying the drenched status effect.
Deadly Wraith (morph) 🔥
Now deals single target damage only but increases the damage of their attacks.
Lady of the Sea 🔥
Summon a Nereid for 20 seconds that deals ranged water damage attacks from up to 28 meters away immobilising enemies, while close to enemies the Nereid does an AoE waterspout ability In front of them knocking back enemies and causing minor maim.
Scourge of the Sea (morph) 🔥
Increase the damage based on the distance of the target.
Guardian of the Sea (morph) 🔥
Will now heal allies within 28 meters instead of damaging enemies, while allies are close they do an AoE burst heal ability that grants major expedition for X seconds.
Passive Abilities
Luck of the Sea
Gain X ultimate when you summon a spirit of the sea. This can occur once every X seconds.
Ocean’s Companion
You heal for X health whenever a Spirit of the Sea ability ends. This effect can occur once every X seconds.
Rejuvenating Companions
Increase magicka and stamina recovery by X while a Spirit of the Sea ability is active.
Spirit efficiency
Increase damage of your pets by X%.

Ultimate Abilities
Leviathan’s Spit
Breathe a cone of water in front of you over 5 seconds dealing water damage every 0.5 seconds. This is a channeled attack therefore you can’t cast other abilities while casting and are slowed while casting.
Leviathan’s Breath (Morph)
Increase the cone size and the duration of the ability to 8 seconds.
Leviathan’s Speed (Morph)
Can move at normal speed while channeling this ability and gain minor expedition while casting and for 5 seconds after the ability ends.
Active Abilities
Ocean’s Defence 🔥
Summon a bubble around you for 20 seconds that grants you Major Resolve and a damage shield for 5 seconds. A nearby ally can activate the “Aquatic Resolve” synergy granting them and other allies a damage shield that heals them over the duration of the shield.
Aqua Shell (morph) 🔥
Increase the damage shield strength and heal when you take damage while this ability is active.
Reflective Bubble (morph) 🔥
When an enemy deals damage to you, you reflect a portion of the damage back to the enemy as water damage based on your weapon and spell damage.
Maelstrom 🔥
Summon a whirlpool with a 12 meter radius for 10 seconds, that deals water damage to enemies within applying minor mangle.
Into the Maelstrom (morph) 🔥
Pulls enemies into the centre of the AoE.
Catastrophic Maelstrom (morph) 🔥
Increases damage and duration of the skill to 20 seconds.
Wave Charge ⚔️
Ride atop a wave charging towards a target knocking any enemies in your path and slamming a sword into the ground upon meeting your target stunning the target and dealing water damage to the target. (This ability is similar to the mechanic that the last boss of Shipwright regret does where he charges to a certain location and has water around his feet while charging)
Shattering Wave Charge (morph) ⚔️
After slamming your sword into the ground create multiple waterspout aoe’s around you that explode after 2 seconds.
Tide Tamer (morph) 🔥
Converts to a Magicka ability. No long requires a target to cast but you no longer slam your sword into the ground. Dash forward to make a quick escape or travel faster. Gain major evasion while casting.
Master of the Tide 🔥
Channel the power of water in your hands for 1 second before pushing forward a wave of water dealing water damage to enemies in front of you. The third cast of this ability deals 20% more damage. (Main spam ability).
Cleaving Tide (Morph) 🔥
The ability moves forward for 3 seconds then disperses into 3 different directions for an additional 3 seconds.
Piercing Tide (Morph) ⚔️
Converts to a stamina ability, reduces enemies armour by X amount.
Waterspout 🔥
Cast a waterspout that slowly forward from your location for 5 seconds dealing water damage to enemies in its path.
Resolute Waterspout (morph)🔥
After moving forward for 5 seconds it moves back the direction it came dealing damage to enemies in its path as it comes back.
Gripping Waterspout (morph) 🔥
Locks onto a target and chases the target dealing more damage the closer the target is to the centre of the waterspout. Targets within 6 meters of the waterspout are slowed by 50%. Duration increases to 7 seconds.
Passive Abilities
Aquatic Bulwark
Increase the strength of your damage shields by X% while you have a Hydromancy ability slotted.
The Ocean’s Boon
Increase max magicka by X.
Iron Bubble
While a Hydromancer ability is active reduce your damage taken by X%.
Unwavering Tides
Increase the duration of Hydromancer abilities by X seconds.

Pearl Conjuring
Conjure a large pearl in your hands over 4 seconds before launching it at a target dealing magic damage to the target. (This ability is like the ability Zmaja’s shade does in Cloudrest portal phase).
Dazing Pearl (morph)
Enemies hit by the Pearl are afflicted with minor uncertainty and minor defile. Increases the range.
Blessed Pearl (morph)
Heals you for a percentage of the damage done and grants you a damage shield after casting.
Active Abilities
Fountain of Soothing Water 🔥
Summon a fountain overflowing with soothing waters healing you and allies in the area over 20 seconds. (This ability works the same way blood altar does and automatically heals allies within 28 meters of it)
Fountain of Mystic Water (morph) 🔥
Grants you and allies minor magickasteal restoring 168 magicka when you damage enemies in the area.
Fountain of Green Water (morph) ⚔️
Grants you and allies minor staminasteal restoring 168 stamina when you damage enemies in the area.
Siren’s Song 🔥
Charm enemies within 15 meters to walk towards you. Enemies that resist charm are taunted.
Siren’s Scream (morph) 🔥
Increases the range to 28 meters.
Siren’s Curse (morph) 🔥
Charmed enemies are afflicted with Minor Timidity.
Rapid Deluge 🔥
Cast Rapid Deluge on multiple enemies infront of you, after 5 second the enemies explode dealing water damage to themselves and nearby enemies. (This ability is the same ability as the Rapid Deluge from Dreadsail Reef last boss). An ally near an effected a can use the “Explosive Deluge” synergy causing all deluges to trigger early and applying the drenched status effect to the target snd other nearby enemies.
Unleashed Deluge (morph) 🔥
Increases the damage based on the amount of enemies within range of the explosion, up to a maximum of X%.
Detonating Deluge (morph) 🔥
Can use your own Explosive Deluge synergy.
Abyssal Weaponry 🔥
Infuse the weapons of you and your allies for 60 seconds, granting you and allies Major Savagery and Major Prophecy.
Effective Abyssal Weaponry (morph) 🔥
Costs less, you restore X amount of magicka and stamina while this buff is active every X amount of seconds.
Beserking Abyssal Weaponry (morph) 🔥
Also grants minor berserk.
Abyssal Pearls 🔥 ⚔️ 🩸
While slotted on either bar, when you cast a Squallshaper ability, you gain a stack of Abyssal Pearls, up to a maximum of 3 stacks, based on what your highest max resource is you gain X weapon & spell damage (Magicka), X weapon and spell crit (stamina), X physical spell resistance (health) per pearl stack. Casting this ability will consume Abyssal Pearls and restore X amount of your highest max resource. Cost type is determined by highest max resource.
Abyssal Mastery (Morph) 🔥 ⚔️ 🩸
At full pearl stacks you get a buff depending on your highest max resource: Minor Mending (Magicka), Minor Force (Stamina), Minor Resolve (Health).
Pearlescent Efficency (Morph) 🔥 ⚔️ 🩸
Increase the amount of spell dmg/ crit/ resistances you get from pearl stacks.
Passive Abilities
Abyssal Weapons
Activating an Abyssal Magic ability grants you and allies Reave for X seconds.
Synergy Master
Gain X ultimate when you activate a synergy.
Strength of the Deep
Increase your weapon & spell damage by X% per Squallshaper ability slotted.
Waterweaving
Increase the damage of your light and heavy attacks by X%.
