Hi all, Atvelonis here. For the past several years, the administration has hosted a wiki editing contest with real-world TES prizes like games, t-shirts, jewelry, and other merchandise. We were a little busy during the 2020 holiday season, but we'd still like to host a similar contest to start off the new year. The following post contains information about the raffle, including who's eligible, how you win, and what the prizes are this time around.

Eligibility:

In order to be eligible to receive a prize, you will have to do the following:

• Have a registered account on Fandom that has not been blocked between October 15th, 2020–February 15th, 2021.

• Enter the contest by commenting your interest as a response to this thread.

• Edit a mainspace page (a content article, such as Skyrim) at least once between January 15th, 2020–February 15th, 2021.

The more you edit, and the better/more useful your edits are, the higher your chances of winning a prize will be!

Rules:

I am obviously not going to be eligible for a prize, but everyone else (including staff) can be.

• Every edit you make has a number attached to it called its "byte size"; this is a measurement of how much stuff you added/removed to/from a page. We will calculate the winners based partially off this, and partially off chance.

• File uploads will each be equivalent to an edit of 1000 bytes (an arbitrary value). Images tagged as poor quality will not be counted. Edits made in the MediaWiki, Template, Category, Portal, and Module namespaces will also be counted. Edits made to other namespaces, such as User Talk and Board Thread, will not be counted.

• If you make an edit which is reverted/highly modified by an editor, or is just unnecessary/needlessly large, it will not be counted. All existing wiki rules and style guidelines apply too.

In essence, create/expand articles, write walkthroughs, upload images, and otherwise add information to the wiki! Maintenance edits will be counted, but you have a much better chance of winning if you add a lot of content!

Prizes:

Stygies VIII has a cache of TES goodies that will serve as the main prizes for the contest this year. These include the following:

• 8x TES amulets: 1x Ouroboros Pendant, 1x Aldmeri Dominion Keychain, 1x Daggerfall Covenant Keychain, x2 Imperial Dragon Keychain, 1x Ebonheart Pact Keychain, 1x Imperial Keychain, and 1x Ouroboros Keychain

• 3x Pop! figurines: High Elf, Warden, and Breton

• 2x plush Cadwell (with a lute)

The user with the highest "byte size" by February 15th (i.e. who has made the most/most substantive edits) can choose any TES product as their prize (within reason). The top three users have priority in choosing prizes from the above list. An additional set of winners will be chosen through a combination of byte size and chance, barring further notice. The administration will cover the shipping expenses; we will reach out to the winners afterwards in order to coordinate prize selection and shipping (direct or via poste restante, if desired).

If you don't know how to edit, that's okay! It might seem intimidating at first, but it's actually not that difficult to learn. I have a full guide for the syntax here, and slightly more digestible guides here: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3. If you're ever confused about how to edit something, please don't hesitate to reach out to a staff member for help. • The Allegiance Gauntlet is back this weekend! In this event, decks may consist only of a single attribute (though Neutral cards may be included). This event ends on Monday, January 18 at 12pm ET. Everyone is allowed a maximum of three runs, with each costing 150 gold or 1 Event Ticket.

Online

• It has been announced that since Inauguration Day in the US is on January 20, the Global Reveal Event for Gates of Oblivion has been moved from Thursday, January 21 to Tuesday, January 26 at 5pm EST/10pm GMT.

• There is an update to how you earn Twitch Drops when you watch ESO streams; the Drops-enabled stream must be watched for at least 15 cumulative minutes. Once you have earned a Drop, there will be a notification in the chat which you have to click to claim it. See the article for further details.

• This week’s gauntlet is the Legendary Pauper Gauntlet. Decks must include only Common and/or Legendary cards. Players will have collections unlocked for this event. There’s a new lane that will be part of the event: the left lane is now the Surplus Lane, which reduces the cost of a random card in your hand by one magicka whenever you summon a creature into it. The reward is the premium, alternate art Lesser Ward for each complete run.

• The January Crown Store Showcase is here. Some notable items to check out are Ysgramor's Ascendance Armor Pack, a lot of new furnishings and two houses and the Whispering-Claw Senche-raht.

• The Dauntless Bananas, a PvP guild that won the #TamrielTogether Guild Contest, had a guild spotlight interview. They play everyday for at least 3 hours in the Gray Host campaign for the Aldmeri Dominion, so you might meet them there if you’re part of that campaign. I recommend reading for their nicknames of the PvP keeps!

Greetings fellow TES Wikians, I am here with this new weekly update! Hopefully you're all having a great start to your Christmas break. We have quite a few festive ESO tidbits to get through in this update, so let's get into it.

• This weekend, the Micro Singleton Gauntlet is back! Your deck can only have a minimum of 30 cards (or 45 for tri-colour), as well as only one copy of each card. As per usual, Seht's Masterwork, Siege of Stros M'Kai, and Morokei, the Deathless are all banned. This event is on right now, and closes at 12pm ET on Monday, December 21.

Online

• The New Life Festival event began this week and will be ongoing until Tuesday, January 5 at 10AM EST. To start, get the New Life Festival quest from the in-game Crown Store and find Breda. After the introductory quest, you’ll receive ten New Life Festival daily quests, alongside a completely new quest, “Old Life Remembrance”. There are also a host of rewards to get from each daily quest you complete, including Event Tickets, Charity Writs, Skinchanger Motif chapters, New Life Festival recipes, and collectibles like Snowball Buddy, a literal snowball that will follow you, even to the depths of the Hammerfell deserts. Also in this event is the final Indrik evolution, the Crimson Indrik. All 2020 Indrik Berries will be able to be purchased from the Impresario, so you can complete any evolutions that you were unable to. After this event, feathers will not be available at the Impresario, and there will be no more new Indrik variations. However, if you have incomplete Indrik evolutions from 2019, keep in mind that there may be a chance for those berries to be brought back in the future.

• The ESO Community Team participated in a Bethesda charity drive for Toys for Tots on Thursday. They streamed the New Life event and the newest quest, "Old Life Remembrances". If you missed it, check it out on Twitch.

• Check out this showcase of festive player homes and scenes put together with the Housing System for some inspiration for sprucing up your own place this holiday season!

• Get in the gift-giving spirit during the New Life Festival event! If you gift five or more Event Tickets during this time period, you’ll get four free Akaviri Potentate Crown Crates by the end of January 2021. Event Tickets can be split between multiple recipients, and all must be on the same server to be counted. For more details, check out the article.

• Share your memories from Markarth with a screenshot. You can put your picture in this template, share it on social media with the #MemoriesfromMarkarth hashtag before January 5, and your picture could be showcased on the official Twitter and Instagram ESO pages!

Call to Arms

• The creators of the game have had serious problems with the shipping system due to lockdown and issues that arose in ports. They decided to offer local shipping from the US as an option for webstore purchases for all sets and a new schedule of releases. If you ordered, are ordering or will order some Call to Arms minis, you should read this post.

Blades

• New Life Festival in the game will involve daily Even Quests December 25 – January 2, a new look of the player’s town and special holiday bundles for sale. On January 2nd, a new Event Quest will be introduced, the Wrath of the Undying.

• Cuttently, we’re having the Gauntlet of Chaos. Players can use cards only from the Core Set, Madhouse Collection and Isle of Madness expansion. The whole collection will be unlocked, so that players can use all cards from those. For each completed run, the player will receive a premium, alternate-art Swindler’s Market. The event ends at 12pm ET on Monday, December 14.

• Big news! A new teaser trailer for the next story arc has been shown at The Game Awards. It will be called the Gates of Oblivion. The trailer features Mehrunes Dagon in their realm, Deadlands, watched by Eveli Sharp-Arrow in some kind of a vision she has while dreaming.

• More details will be released during the ESO’s 2021 Global Reveal Event. It will take place on January 21 at 5PM EST at Bethesda’s Twitch channel. ZeniMax Online Studio’s Director Matt Firor and Bethesda Softwork’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications Pete Hines will introduce the new Chapter and the new year-long adventure we already know as Gates of Oblivion. Creative Director Rich Lambert and other employees will join as well. After the reveal, Community managers Jessica Folsom and Gina Bruno will discuss the news. If you watch with linked accounts, you’ll get Twitch Drops and the Viridescent Dragon Frog pet.

• The Akaviri Potentate Crown Crates have just dropped into the Crown Store. If you’ve been wondering what aesthetic the Potentates had, now you know.

Blades

• Patch 1.10 for Blades has arrived! A few things have been added, which includes two new Event Quests, a Mentor’s Pack, and new items in the Sigil Store. There are also improvements to the Quest Map, like labels added to dungeon exits as well as other miscellaneous bug fixes. Check out the blog post for further details.

• This weekend’s in-game event is the Lucky Gauntlet. The Field Lane has been turned into the Lucky Lane, where summoned creatures will be granted a random Keyword. Entry costs 1 Event Ticket, or 150 Gold. This event is currently running, and will end at 12pm ET on Monday, December 7.

• It has been a year since it was announced on the subreddit (and for some reason, only on the subreddit) that The Elder Scrolls: Legends would no longer be in active development. With this year wrapping up, the question on the future of the Monthly Card arose. Community Manager CVH had this to say: “There's a new unique card coming out on January 1st for the December ranked season, and after that, the monthly reward cards will cycle through the pool of cards previously released as monthly rewards. All other rewards for playing any of the PvP modes will remain unchanged into the new year.” If you want the last unique Monthly Card, this is the month to start climbing the Ranked ladder!

• An ESO Community Manager sat down in an interview with cosplayer Starbit who did a cosplay of Lady Belain. They discuss the character, costume making, and tips for people who want to start cosplaying.

• You guessed right, it’s time for another Crown Store Showcase! This December’s one includes some New Life Festival themed hats, and an assortment of Arms Packs.

• The ESO Free Play event is currently on until December 9, at 10AM EST for all platforms. You can download and play the The Elder Scrolls Online base game for free during this time. New players will also receive 500 crowns to spend in the in-game Crown Store. Also during this time, the Standard Edition is up to 60% off. This sale ends depending on the platform. You can see those dates in this article, as well as how to get started in the Free Play event.

• The Undaunted Celebration was officially moved to December 3 at 10AM EST until December 15 at 10AM EST to allow for several fixes to dungeons as part of incremental patches for PC/Mac and console. However, certain dungeons are causing game crashes. On Twitter, ESO suggested that players skip Fang Lair, Scalecaller Peak, Crypt of Hearts, Wayrest Sewers II, Vaults of Madness, and Tempest Island if you are running pledges during the Undaunted Celebration. • Atvelonis recently imported UserAccountAge. Note that it counts the account creation date and is different from the old “joined the wiki on X date”. Join dates for staff and MOTM winners would have to be manually added since their mastheads are edited by the ProfileTags script.

• There’s a new tab in RecentChanges between Wiki Activity and Image Activity: Social Activity displays recent comments and replies on blog posts.

We finally held a moot! After a while, we had a backlog of topics. Here is what was discussed (or read the Moot summary):

For all of these, the names would be standardized as {{GameTypeQuest(s)}}, like {{OblivionMainQuest}} or {{SkyrimDarkBrotherhoodQuests}} or {{BloodmoonQuests}} or {{OnlineAuridonStoryQuests}} or {{OnlineMagesGuildQuests}} or whatever. Visually, these templates would all use the Alduin's Wall design, with the subcategories on the left and the quests themselves on the right, which has been the unofficial standard for a little while. Each game would have its own unique icon in the template. (9-0-0)

2) <references group="UL"/> be included automatically within {{UL}} because there are no situations where they are not used in conjunction, and this is just one less thing for editors to worry about. This can be fixed with a bot pretty easily. (8-1-0)

3) Prefer the use of human-readable reference names over potentially confusing or unnecessarily terse phrases or acronyms as to facilitate more efficient citation management and article overhaul procedures, while not bloating reference name length in the opposite direction (editor discretion). (7-1-0)

4) Articles describing collections of objects or entities (n > 1) should be given a plural name, e.g. Daggers (Skyrim). This includes list articles and pages similar in scope. Otherwise, in situations where an article describes a specific instance of an object or entity, the page should be given a singular name, e.g. Dagger (Skyrim). (6-2-0)

5) "Update {{Quote}} to feature better width adaptability/flexibility based on the amount of space available to the right of the div, rather than being set at a specific width. {{Quote2}} and {{Quotefull}} will be retired. (6-1-0)

6) We spoke about this topic (retiring the Incomplete Articles Category and moving all pages in it to the Stubs) for 45 minutes and were unable to come to an agreement, so we will revisit it in a consensus track thread in the near future, with the potential of revising our categorization system more broadly.

• The November 2020 Monthly Card is Giant’s Camp. It’s an ongoing support card that costs 4 magicka and belongs to the Strength attribute. It’s effect is “At the start of your turn, set each friendly creature’s power equal to the power of your most powerful creature.”

• The current event is the Grand Melee. Players prepare the best decks they have and participate. They get a premium, alternate-art Immolating Blast with each run they complete. The event will end at 12pm ET on Monday, November 30.

• ESO Live on November 25th was a special Thanksgiving episode that involved two community managers, Gina Bruno and Jessica Folsom, cooking some food from the official The Elder Scrolls: The Official Cookbook and streaming it from their kitchens. If you missed it, it’s available here.

• Be careful if you want to buy a new Mac for gaming. According to this new letter from Matt Firor, new Macs will utilize a new custom-built ARM CPU going forward, instead of an Intel CPU. They cannot run software made to run on Intel-based computers. You can try using an emulator, but this can result in a bad gaming experience. So, your better options are switching to Stadia or a PC with Intel CPU. so that you can play properly and keep your account and characters. Read the letter for more details.

• If you’ve ever wondered how to get into PvP, there’s a new interview with Fengrush and Bislobo. They share basic tips on preparing yourself to fight in Cyrodiil and basic rules of useful builds.

• Undaunted Celebration is coming! The event was moved, it will begin on December 3rd at 10AM EST and run until December 15th at 10AM EST. The event involves PvE dungeons, where you get extra rewards for killing the dungeon’s boss. The extra rewards for the first kill during a day are even better. This is also your occasion to get three Crimson Indrik Berries (Berries of Budding, Bloom, and Growth). The fourth one will be available during the New Life Festival event. • This weekend we’re having two events merged into one, the Micro Mirror Gauntlet. The left lane is now the Hall of Mirrors, which summons a copy of any creature you play in that lane while it’s empty. The second rule is that a deck can have minimum 30 cards (45 cards for three-attribute decks), with only up to two copies each non-Unique card allowed. For each run, you get a premium, alternate art Brutal Ashlander. The event ends at 12pm ET on Monday, November 16.

Online

• There’s an announcement explaining that you can play ESO on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 at launch and for free if you already own an account. You just can’t move the account between consoles (for example from Xbox One to PlayStation 5). Read the instructions on how to play on new consoles with backward compatibility here.

• The Explorer’s Celebration will end soon, on November 16 at 10AM EST. The event allows everyone to get double drops from harvest nodes except fishing, double XP and double gold rewards. Go get some before it ends!

• Last Friday, the new ESO Live took place in Vateshran Hollows. The Creative Director Rich Lambert and the community team went to complete the Hollows with a promise of a giveaway if he doesn’t die and Lead Encounter Designer Mike Finnigan commenting on it. Watch it here if you missed it.

Hey there, it's PA with another weekly update! There are no new developments for Blades or The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms, however, this is the third week in a row where we have something new from Todd Howard which I don't think has ever happened before, though is certainly fueling my recent obsession with documenting anything remotely to do with TES VI.

• Earlier in the week was Todd Howard's Develop:Brighton keynote. He opens up about the development of the older games of the series, as well as the game design behind Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim, and how that has developed since Daggerfall to now; everything from the alien-like world of Vvardenfell to making sure Skyrim felt authentic. You can watch the full discussion here. Part of game design is procedural generation versus game developers going in and handcrafting content, such as random encounters, environment (see: Arena), and 'endless quests'. Todd mentions their use of procedural generation in the past, as well as what they're doing with it in the future: "The stuff we're doing now, we're pushing procedural generation further than we have in a very, very long time."

• This weekend's in-game event was the Retro Gauntlet, running up until 12pm ET on Monday, November 9. All participants of this event can only use a deck which consists of cards which were released before November 2017. This includes Monthly Card, and cards in all collections released before Return to Clockwork City. All of these cards will be unlocked for all participants, so if there are any deck archetypes you want to try, all it takes to enter is 150 Gold, or 1 Event Ticket!

• The Elder Scrolls Online: Markarth and Update 28 is officially released on PC/Mac! This is the conclusion to this year's Dark Heart of Skyrim storyline. The two new zones are the Reach and Arkthzand Caverns, as well as a new solo arena, Vateshran Hollows. Update 28 adds a bunch of quality-of-life improvements, including a new feature, the Item Set Collection system for all you hoarders. Check out the official release article for more information on how to get the DLC pack, and how to start the questline. Amulet of Kings also put together a useful blog post for everything you need to know.

• The newest Community Guide features a host of video guides perfect for the new DLC. Check it out here for beginner and roleplay guides.

• Fandom and Gamepedia Crash - Novemver 3rd, 2020 – on November 3, 10:19AM ET, a code caused a fatal exception for all wikis on UCP. If you saw the error message that read as "InvalidArgumentException", this was it. These wikis were down for about 20 minutes, and was fixed by rolling back the offending code. Any CSS issues you come across are due to caching and should resolve themselves.

• The Future of Gamepedia – Gamepedia wikis are officially being migrated to the Fandom.com domain in early 2021. After that, Gamepedia wikis will be the first to go to UCP Phase 2, with emphasis on mobile. This is for SEO reasons, as Google's algorithms have reduced Gamepedia's visibility in search results by up to 10% while boosting Fandom's by 18%. Further explanation can be found in the linked blog, as well as a visualization of what to expect when this migration happens. Also, Fandom's Director of SEO will be on the Gamepedia SEO channel on Discord, and have an hour-long Gamepedia SEO Checkpoint voice chat this Thursday. Fandom’s Chief Marketing Officer, Stephanie Fried, will be on the Fandom/Gamepedia Discord server in the #ask-me-anything channel to answer any questions about domain migration and branding at 4pm US Eastern on November 13th.

• Todd Howard discussed the purchase of ZeniMax Media by Microsoft with gamesindustry.biz. You can read the whole article here. He says that it hasn’t yet been decided whether TES VI or Starfield will be Xbox exclusives and it’s more likely that the decision will be made case-by-case, by analyzing every game’s possibilities. Xbox boss Phil Spencer said the same thing. Remember that Microsoft was always open to releasing their games on other platforms and it’s confirmed in this article. Howard also claims that he really likes the fact that streaming is becoming popular and lifts the burden of worrying whether a game will sell in enough copies. He compares it to streaming shows at Netflix. He also mentions that Bethesda already cooperated with Microsoft and the purchase is just “partnering in a bigger way”. I really recommend reading the whole article!

• Amulet of KIngs wrote a guide to playing The Elder Scrolls Travels: Shadowkey on PC. Quarantine and isolation is a great occasion to catch up with older TES games and these were usually impossible to play on modern devices. Amulet explains that you can indeed launch Shadowkey on your PC and how you can do it. If you try it, remember to edit wiki pages about the game! Thank you!

• The October monthly reward is Yagrum’s Workshop. It has the effect: Activate: Your neutral Summon and Assemble abilities trigger an additional time this turn. You can activate it three times. It’s a great card to use in neutral Dwemer-themed decks, so try to get it! Reaching rank 9 in our ranked ladder by the end of the month will award you one copy, rank 5 will earn you the second and if you finish rank 1 or higher you’ll get a full playset. In addition, if you’re able to finish in the top 1,000 Legend ranks, your playset will be premium

• On October 30th, the Grand Melee has started. It will end on at 12pm ET on Monday, November 2nd. No restrictions here, you just build your best possible deck and go. All entrants will receive an premium, alternate-art Murkwater Shaman at the end of each completed run.

• A new piece of Reachmen lore has been published, the Markarth Lorebook Preview—On the Clans of the Reach. It presents a summary on every notable clan in the Reach and a description of the society and culture of the region.

• A new episode of Meet the Character was released, Meet the Character—Ard Caddach. The fearsome Ard of the Reach, Caddach of the Blackdrake clan, the Despot of Markarth, sits on the throne in Markarth and refuses to be a puppet of those who try to conquer Cyrodiil.

• A new ESO Live episode was streamed on Friday. If you missed it, you can watch it here. Senior Sound Designer Bill Mueller talked about his career in the gamedev industry as a person who works with sound in games. The team of developers took part in Witches’ Festival as well, so have a look at them fighting monsters and getting Plunder Skulls.

• See the final Markarth Preview just before it releases on Monday, November 2nd. This time, it features the Vateshran Hollows Arena, a new Trial that is based on the Maelstrom Arena that’s still very popular among players and developers despite being released almost five years ago.

• Time for a new Crown Store Showcase. It’s quite Reach- and Sovngarde-themed. There are three new houseguests, including Prince Irnskar (the son of Jorunn the Skald-King) and an old but cozy house makes its return, the Enchanted Snow Globe Home is back. And of course, the Markarth DLC will be available in the Crown Store.

Greetings, it is I with another weekly update! It's the last week of October, and indeed the week of Halloween, the one time of year when my username is somewhat festively appropriate, though perhaps that is a bit of a stretch. Or a lot of a stretch. Anyway, there is not a lot of news this week, but what news there is may still be of interest, including a neat (pun fully intended) feature coming to ESO's next Update, as well mention of the possibility of The Elder Scrolls VI becoming an Xbox exclusive.

Last month, it was announced that Microsoft acquired ZeniMax Media for $7.5 billion. In an interview, Phil Spencer, VP of Gaming at Microsoft and head of Xbox, had this to say when asked: "Is it possible to recoup a $US7.5 ($11) billion investment if you don't sell Elder Scrolls VI on the PlayStation?"

• "Yes. This deal was not done to take games away from another player base like that. Nowhere in the documentation that we put together was: ‘How do we keep other players from playing these games?’ We want more people to be able to play games, not fewer people to be able to go play games. But I’ll also say in the model — I’m just answering directly the question that you had — when I think about where people are going to be playing and the number of devices that we had, and we have xCloud and PC and Game Pass and our console base, I don’t have to go ship those games on any other platform other than the platforms that we support in order to kind of make the deal work for us. Whatever that means."

This is not necessarily an outright ‘yes, The Elder Scrolls VI will be an Xbox exclusive’, but it is not a ‘no’ either. However, he has also said "We'll take other consoles on a case-by-case basis."

• This weekend's event is the King of the Hill gauntlet. The left Lane is a Fountain Lane, where creatures with two or less Power are granted a Ward, and the right Lane is the King of the Hill Lane, where creatures which cost five or more Magicka summoned there are given Guard. This event began on Friday and will end at 12pm ET on Monday, October 26.

• In spirit of #TamrielTogether, ESO have published a short guide to joining a Guild. Using the Guild Finder, you can find one that's right for you, from Trading to Roleplaying or purely social. It's a great way of being part of the community.

• There’s a new edition of Meet the Character. In this one, we read about an encounter with Arana, witch of the Reach and leader of the witch-rebels, in this account written by Jano Vestalis.

• In this new article, we get a preview of a feature coming with Update 28: Item Set Collection System. This system should help you better read which pieces of an Item Set you might still be missing and which you already have. Also, within this system, you can add almost all of your item sets to your Collections UI and free up storage space in banks, inventories, and coffers! If you want to know more about how this system works, there is an FAQ at the bottom of the article.

• The ESO Plus Free Trial is available now! You can try it out until Monday, October 19, at 10:00AM EDT. Visit the article to read the full list of bonuses it gives.

• Guilds are encouraged to enter the #TamrielTogether guild contest! You have to create a recruitment poster or a recruitment video using a form linked in the article by Friday, November 6 at 11:59PM EST. It’s also worth publishing it with the hashtag in the social media! There will be two grand winners (one for poster and one for video) and four runner-ups. There’s a lot of prizes, such as adding a guild tabard to an in-game tavern and guild-themed furnishings with your guild’s crest, so go read the rules and have fun!

• It’s going to get spooky. The Witches’ Festival this year starts on October 22 at 10:00AM EDT, and ends on Tuesday, November 3 at 10:00AM EST. Like in the previous events, we’ll collect Plunder Skulls that contain loot. To start participating, get the “The Witchmother's Bargain" quest from the Crown Store (for free) and complete it. If you already completed it last year or before, just use the Witchmother's Whistle in your collections. Read the article for information which bosses drop which loot and other rules. Note that during this even we’ll be able to get berries for the last Indrik evolution, the Crimson Indrik.

• Remember to watch the Greymoor charity stream by the UK community team and Pete Hines! They will raise money for Cancer Research UK on Tuesday, October 20 at 12PM EDT (noon), the stream will last two hours. The announcement is here.

• The winner and runner-ups for the Base Camp Competition have been announced! Read their scenarios and check out their cool builds here.

• There's a new Town Hall for Update 1.9. The new additions to the game include a Quest Map, and Arena Seasons! Every month, progress in the Arena will reset, and players will receive certain rewards depending on the rank they placed in that season. A new Event Quest is also included in this update, and has a new enemy to battle against and unique rewards in the Sigil Shop.

• ZOS announced a celebration of the ESO community, #TamrielTogether. • This weekend’s event was the Campfire Gauntlet. The Field Lane is replaced with the Campfire Lane. Whenever you summon a creature into the Campfire Lane, friendly creatures in that lane gain the summoned creature’s keywords. The minimum number of cards in a deck is 40 cards for one- or two-attribute decks and 60 cards for three-attribute decks.

• A new kind of Crown Crates is coming. It’s the Sovngarde Crown Crates that contain a number of Sovngarde-themed collectibles, such as a pretty new mount and a mask and even an Alkosh’s Hourglass Replica furnishing that’ll surely be appreciated by lore fans.

• The prologue quest of the Markarth DLC is now available to everyone. You don’t have to own any DLCs or buy anything to try it out. Go to the in-game Crown Store, then to Quest Starters, and then pick “The Ravenwatch Inquiry” and enjoy the quest. Don’t forget to add info to the wiki, if you have time!

• There’s an announcement about the DLC and the upcoming in-game events. In this article you can find links to videos with the announcement (the youtube one is about 22 minutes long, so do watch it if you have time). The upcoming events are: Lost Treasures of Skyrim (September 23-October 5), Witches Festival (October 22-November 3), Undaunted Celebration (November 25-December 12), New Life Festival (December 21-January 2, 2021)

• All players who own Greymoor can participate in an event during which all players can dig up Antiquities to reach milestones and unlock free rewards for all players. Note that you can search for Antiquities in entire Tamriel, but only Greymoor owners have skills needed to do so. You can also complete Western Skyrim daily quests for bonus rewards.
