A Beginning at Bleakrock is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls Online. An unknown ship has been spotted near Bleakrock Isle, and the Vestige is asked to help gather the villagers in case they have to evacuate. If the Vestige arrived on Bleakrock via the Gates of Adamant, Cadwell's Silver, or Cadwell's Gold, they awake in Captain Rana's Office in Bleakrock Village.
The quest can be received from either Riurik in Davon's Watch, or Captain Rana on the upper floor of her office. It is no longer available after starting What Waits Beneath, The Frozen Man, or Hozzin's Folly.
Originally this was the first quest for Ebonheart Pact players after Soul Shriven in Coldharbour, with the Vestige being dropped in Davon's Watch.

I traveled to an island off the coast of Skyrim, to a village called Bleakrock. The outpost offers early warnings of attacks on the shore. - or - A crew from a village called Bleakrock sailed to Davon's Watch for help. I can provide them some assistance.

Walkthrough[]
(If starting the quest in Davon's Watch) After receiving the quest from Riurik, head down to the Davon's Watch docks and talk to Liezl. She gives you a ride to Bleakrock Isle. Upon arrival, head to Captain Rana's Office, go upstairs, and talk to Rana.
Captain Rana explains that a ship has been seen offshore, and she'd like your help gathering all the villagers in case they need to evacuate the island. She tells you where some of them can be found: Darj is at Skyshroud Barrow, Eiman and Rolunda are at Orkey's Hollow, and Seyne is at Hozzin's Folly.
Head to whichever location you want to start with and talk to Darj, Rolunda, or Seyne to complete the quest.

- The quest description will be blank if the Vestige hasn't been to any zones other than Bleakrock.
- A Beginning at Bleakrock is the first quest of the Ebonheart Pact storyline.
- This is a pointer quest, intended to lead the player to the quests What Waits Beneath (Darj), The Frozen Man (Rolunda), and Hozzin's Folly (Seyne). It is no longer available after starting any of these quests.
- This quest gives conflicting versions of the Vestige's arrival:
- Riurik and Liezl say the Vestige was pulled out of the water by Liezl.
- Captain Rana, Mathor, Holsgar, and Maesa say the Vestige was found washed up on the shore with dry clothes. This account is also given in Rana's Log and Mathor's Journal. On the other hand, Rana contradicts herself by also saying the Vestige was pulled out of the water.
