Aethra was a Breton child who lived in Markarth at the time of the Forsworn Uprising.
Background[]
Aethra was the daughter of Braig. When her father was intended to be executed for speaking with Madanach, she begged the Jarl to take her instead. After she was executed, her father was thrown in Cidhna Mine.[1]
Trivia[]
- It is unknown if she was executed by Ulfric Stormcloak, as hinted in The Bear of Markarth, or by Jarl Hrolfdir. However, Braig's story and Thonar's Journal seems to imply Hrolfdir had agency on who to execute. But dialogue with Nepos the Nose says that Ulfric executed the forsworn that didn't run.
