Ahemmausa Nerevarine is one of the quests of the main questline The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, after "The Path of the Incarnate". This quest may be given by several entities including Azura, Sinnammu Mirpal and the Urshilaku Wise Woman Nibani Maesa.
- Speak with one of the three Gulkhans.
- Speak with the Wise Woman of the Ahemmusa Tribe.
- Secure the Daedric shrine of Ald Daedroth.
- Escort the Wise Woman to the Inner Shrine to prove it is safe.
- Be named the Ahemmusa Nerevarine and receive the Madstone of the Ahemmusa.
- Note 1: The quest to become the Ashlanders's Nerevarine runs in conjunction with the similar quests to become Hortator of the Great Houses. Although, Sul-Matuul will advise to wait until being the Hortator of all houses before becoming Zainab Nerevarine, Erabenimsun Nerevarine and Urshilaku Nerevarine as this will make many people's Disposition for the Nerevarine drop.
- Note 2: The order in which these Tribes are visited and declare the Hero as Nerevarine does not affect the development of the main questline.
The Ahemmusa Camp can be found in the northeast corner of the mainland Vvardenfell, north of Vos. The wise woman of the Ahemmusa tribe, Sinnammi Mirpal, who alone, wields the power to name the Hero as the Ahemmusa Nerevarine, will refuse to talk to the Hero, until they have spoken to one of the tree Gulkhans, Dutadalk, Kausi or Yenammu. After speaking with one of them, the Hero can, now, go to Sinnammi Mirpal.
Sinnammi Mirpal, the Wise Woman and the tribe's leader, due to the lack of Ashkhan, will send the Nerevarine on a quest to prove their claim, a task that requires the Daedric shrine of Ald Daedroth be made safe for the Ahemmusa tribe, so they may take refuge within it.
The Nerevarine must go north, pass several islands, to reach the island upon which the shrine stands. At the shrine the Nerevarine encounters a skirmish between the order of the Ordinators and the Sheogorath Cultists. There are four ways to proceed: Both sides in the battles can be joined, although, depending which group the Hero chooses to help, the other side's fighters will turn hostile. Or, the Nerevarine may defeat all the Ordinator and all the Cultists. And the last way, is to simply observe. To continue the quest, only the Cultists and the Golden Saints dwelling inside Ald Daedroth need to be defeated. The friendly Scamp, Lustidrike and the Ordinators can remain.
If the Nerevarine speaks to an Ordinator, the only way to end the conversation peacefully, is to declare, that they are there to loot the shrine. The Nerevarine may also speak to the leader of the Cultists, Hlireni Indavel, within the Antechamber of the Shrine, whom will either duel the Nerevarine, or take pity on the Ahemmusa Tribe, which requires a Speechcraft skill above 50, or be threatened by the Nerevarine's reputation, which requires a reputation above 20.
The Nerevarine must, now, return to Sinnammi Mirpal in order to receive their next task.
The next phase of the quest involves escorting Sinnammi Mirpal to Ald Daedroth in order to prove that the shrine is safe for the Ahemmusa to use it as refuge. Mirpal declares, that, should she die during the journey to the shrine, then, it is not safe for the Ahemmusa and the quest will fail. The Nerevarine must take great care of Mirpal during the journey to the shrine. Mirpal possesses the Water Walking ability.
Once the Nerevarine and Mirpal have arrived at the Inner Shrine within the Daedric ruin, at the foot of the statue of Sheogorath, Mirpal will declare the Nerevarine as the Ahemmusa Nerevarine and offers the Madstone of the Ahemmusa to show the Ahemmusa's support.
|Ahemmusa Nerevarine – B2_Ahemmusa_Safe|
|1||The wise woman of the Ahemmusa Ashlanders, Sinnammu Mirpal, has said that she will name me Ahemmusa Nerevarine, but first I must go to the Daedric shrine at Ald Daedroth and make it safe for the Ahemmusa. When I have made Ald Daedroth safe, I must then return to Sinnammu Mirpal, and then she will accompany me to Ald Daedroth. Then, when she has seen whether Ald Daedroth is safe or not, she will name me Ahemmusa Nerevarine.

When I have made Ald Daedroth safe, I must then return to Sinnammu Mirpal, and then she will accompany me to Ald Daedroth. Then, when she has seen whether Ald Daedroth is safe or not, she will name me Ahemmusa Nerevarine.|
|5||Sinnammu Mirpal has told me that first I must go to Ald Daedroth and make it safe. She will not tell me exactly what she means by 'safe.' She is not a warrior or ashkhan, and she leaves this judgement to me. Perhaps there are many ways to make Ald Daedroth safe. But first I must go there and see for myself what must be done. Sinnammu Mirpal is an old woman, weak and vulnerable. If she must accompany me there, it must be very safe, or she'll be killed.|
|10||Sinnammu Mirpal says that when I am sure that Ald Daedroth is safe, I must return to her. Then she will accompany me to Ald Daedroth. If she can pass safely into the old sanctuary and see the great statue there, she will agree that I have made Ald Daedroth safe, and then she will name me Ahemmusa Nerevarine.|
|15||Sinnammu Mirpal assures me that she can water-walk. Otherwise, it would be hard for her to accompany me to Ald Daedroth. But I will have to careful to protect her from sea creatures while we journey over water.|
|20||I told Hlireni Indavel the sad plight of the Ahemmusa Ashlanders, and how they would die if they didn't have a safe refuge from the blight. It is a sad tale, but without my gift for words, I doubt it would have moved her. Fortunately, she was so moved she invited me to bring the Ahemmusa to Ald Daedroth, and promised that neither she nor her followers would harm them while they were here.|
|25||I threatened to kill Hlireni Indavel if she would not give the Ahemmusa shelter on Ald Daedroth. I wasn't sure she would listen to reason, but apparently she was so impressed by the level of my skills that she decided to yield. She promised on the Mad God that I could bring the Ahemmusa to Ald Daedroth, and that neither she nor her followers would harm them while they were here.|
|30||I threatened to kill Hlireni Indavel if she would not give the Ahemmusa shelter on Ald Daedroth. I wasn't sure she would listen to reason, but apparently she was so impressed by my reputation that she decided to yield. She promised on the Mad God that I could bring the Ahemmusa to Ald Daedroth, and that neither she nor her followers would harm them while they were here.|
|35||I spoke with an Ordinator at Ald Daedroth. The Ordinators are only worried about the Daedra worshippers here, and they say that if I leave them alone, they'll leave me alone.|
|40||I have done as wise woman Sinnammu Mirpal has asked. I have brought her to the great statue beneath the ruins, and this is the test she has set to determine whether Ald Daedroth is safe for the Ahemmusa. Now I must speak to her and get her to name me Ahemmusa Nerevarine as she has promised.|
|50||Sinnammu Mirpal agrees that I have fulfilled my part of the bargain. Ald Daedroth is safe enough to be a refuge for the Ahemmusa. Therefore she has named me Ahemmusa Nerevarine, War Leader of the Ahemmusa, and Protector of the People. She has also given me the Madstone of the Ahemmusa, an enchanted heirloom of the tribe, which shall be a sign to all Dunmer that the Ahemmusa have named me Nerevarine.
|Ahemmusa Nerevarine – B2_AhemmusaKill|
|1||I have slain an Ahemmusa Ashlander. Now it will be impossible to have friendly dealings with them or their leaders.
|Ahemmusa Nerevarine – B2_AhemmusaWalk|
|10||Sinnammu Mirpal accompanies me to Ald Daedroth. If she can pass safely into the old sanctuary and see the great statue there, she will name me Ahemmusa Nerevarine.
|Ahemmusa Nerevarine – B2a_Kausi|
|1||The gulakhan Kausi of the Ahemmusa admitted that they are a poor, sad tribe, without an ashkhan, and led by a wise woman. He asked me to talk to the wise woman, Sinnammu Mirpal, and do the deeds of a hero, and save the Ahemmusa.
|Ahemmusa Nerevarine – B2b_Dutadalk|
|1||The gulakhan Dutadalk of the Ahemmusa told me to speak to the wise woman, Sinnammu Mirpal, and to tell her I will find a safe place for the Ahemmusa.
|Ahemmusa – B2c_Yenammu|
|1||The gulakhan Yenammu of the Ahemmusa told me to speak to the wise woman, Sinnammu Mirpal. She is the Ahemmusa leader.
- Unlike the other tribes, the Ahemmusa are lead by the Wise Woman Sinnammi Mirpal rather than an Ashkhan.
- This quest, as with all of the other quests to be named Hortator or Nerevarine can be skipped if the Nerevarine has a reputation of 50 (and is level 20 or over).
- Sinnammu Mirpal can escort the Nerevarine on the first visit to the shrine, although this may cause issues, as Mirpal may disappear or die, making this quest and the rest of the main quest impossible to complete.
- A non-hostile Scamp by the name of Lustidrike will give a free bottle of Sujamma.
- Siding with the "followers" of Sheogorath still involves fighting them, as this is the "game" they are playing.
