Ahzidal's Ring of Necromancy is a unique piece of enchanted jewelry found in The Elder Scrolls V: Dragonborn.

It can be found in Kolbjorn Barrow during the second stage of the quest "Unearthed."

In the upper-most part in the northwestern section of the barrow, there is a room with a circular ornament on the floor. Depending on the stage of the "Unearthed" quest there may lie two dead miners on top of the ornament. Facing northeast when there will reveal a handle just behind the wall, with a petty soul gem and a few Gold. Activating it will open a door to the room containing the ring.

The ring can be best put to use with the Ritual Stone and the Aetherial Crown. Bind the Ritual Stone power to the Crown, equip the ring of necromancy, and use the Ritual power to raise an army of undead that explode for 50 frost damage. Remove and don back the crown to reset the ritual power.

The ring is also useful for low levels, as the frost explosion can be similar in tactical advantage to the low-level reanimation spells available to low level players.

"Whenever a creature you have reanimated takes damage, they explode for 50 points of Frost damage and die."

Note: This enchantment does not work when given to Followers using Conjuration.

  3. Be descriptive when listing the bug and fixes, but avoid having conversations in the description and/or using first-person anecdotes: such discussions belong on the appropriate forum board.
  •  PC   If the perk Dark Souls is chosen, the effect does not work. This is because both use the console command addreanimatespell to add the bonus effect, and the Dark Souls perk takes priority. To resolve this conflict, either reload a previous save when one does not have the Dark Souls perk, make Conjuration legendary to remove the perk, or use a Dragon Soul to remove the perk in the Black Book: Waking Dreams, then re-stat the other perks.
