- For the dragon priest, see Ahzidal.
Ahzidal (Dragon Language: , "Embittered Destroyer") is a dragon priest mask found in The Elder Scrolls V: Dragonborn.
Acquisition[]
This mask can be taken from the remains of Ahzidal, one of four named Dragon Priests on Solstheim. He can be encountered in the Nordic ruin of Kolbjorn Barrow at the conclusion of the quest "Unearthed."
Enchantment[]
Ahzidal's unique enchantment is called "Ahzidal's Rage." It grants bonuses to fire damage and resistance:
- Resist Fire: 50%
- Augmented Flames: 25%
In addition, weapons that bear a fire damage enchantment are also boosted by 25%. As with many unique enchanted items, Ahzidal cannot be disenchanted.
Smithing[]
It can be upgraded with an ebony ingot at a workbench, and also benefits from the Daedric Smithing perk, which doubles the improvement.
Usefulness[]
The mask is useful for fire mages due to its +25% fire damage, and for vampires due to its 50% fire resistance, which offsets their weakness to fire.
Dunmer become nearly immune to fire with resistance capped at 85%, providing them with great protection from flames. Being naturally resistant against ice attacks, Nords will also boast protection against flames, making shock damage their only weakness.
Like Zahkriisos and Dukaan, this mask increases the damage caused by a Chaos Enchantment and can be combined with several other methods of elemental damage boosting.
The mask will also boost Enchanting by 10 points if worn with three other relics of Ahzidal.
