- "A Priest of Arkay is entrusted with a ceremonial dagger once they've completed their training. usually given by the head priest who sanctified the ritual. In my case, the head priest happened to be my father."
- ―Alessandra[src]
Alessandra's Dagger is a One-Handed weapon and quest item that appears in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Background[]
Alessandra's Dagger is owned by Alessandra of Riften. It belonged to Alessandra's father and it was given to her when she was training to become a priestess of Arkay. After completing the training, she received a new ceremonial dagger and now she wishes to return the old one to her father's corpse in the Hall of the Dead in Whiterun, as a way of making peace.
Quests[]
Pilgrimage[]
Alessandra asks the Dragonborn to deliver a ceremonial dagger to Andurs at the Hall of the Dead in Whiterun.
Usefulness[]
The dagger has the same base damage as a steel dagger, but loses much of its value at higher levels, especially when Dwarven or glass daggers become more readily available, although the low weight value may be beneficial for a minimal weight build.
Due to the fact that it is a quest item, it cannot be removed from the inventory. This makes it useful should the Dragonborn be put in prison, as they will have a weapon.
Trivia[]
- Alessandra says her father's remains are located in Windhelm; this is likely a developer oversight, as they are in fact located in Whiterun.
