Background
The capital of the Isle, Alinor, has been described by human traders as "made from glass or insect wings." Other accounts, by diplomats of the Reman Dynasty, say that it is "a hypnotic swirl of ramparts and impossibly high towers, designed to catch the light of the sun and break it to its component colors, which lie draped across its stones until you are thankful for nightfall."
Aldmeri Dominion
A forbidden city for nearly fifty years, Alinor is the capital of the Summerset Isles and was the heart of the Aldmeri Dominion. Human traders were until recently only allowed to enter its ports.
Sometime during the First and Second Eras, Alinor was at war with Lillandril. [1]
Second Aldmeri Dominion
After the Thalmor seized control of the Summerset Isles, they renamed the province Alinor, in honor of their capital. [2]
