Alisanne Dupre was the Listener to the Night Mother during the Great War in Cyrodiil. She was the last Listener in Cyrodiil, as well as the Listener previous to the Dragonborn.

Background

Alisanne was the step-daughter of a powerful merchant named Uther Nere. For reasons unknown, Uther killed her mother, and it has been heavily implied that Uther framed Alisanne for the murder. Alisanne, sworn to revenge, contacted the Dark Brotherhood in order to receive training. Uther was aware of this and at some point hires the Forgotten Hero to infiltrate the Brotherhood and kill her.

Later Life

Alisanne eventually becomes the Listener some time during the Great war. In Rain's Hand 4E 187, Alisanne visited the Cheydinhal Sanctuary and spoke with Rasha about the possibility of reinstating training for Shadowscales in Archon, Black Marsh, although they never did, due to the lack of resources.[1] During the hostilities between two rival skooma gangs known as the Claws, and the Eclipse in Bravil, Alisanne was forced to hire mercenaries to protect her home. As the riots escalated, The Lucky Old Lady statue was destroyed, and Alisanne went to the Crypt under The Lucky Old Lady to protect the Night Mother. After the skooma gangs were dealt with, Uther and his men arrive to kill Alisanne and burn the Night Mother's corpse. While she and the Forgotten Hero(if chooses to defend her) hold down his men, Garnag takes the Night Mother to the Cheydinhal Sanctuary. She was burned alive by mages during the fight while trying to protect the Night Mother's coffin.[2] [3] It is noted in his journals that Cicero had a great amount of respect for her, even before becoming the Keeper

Trivia

  • It is not confirmed if Uther was her father or her step-father.
  • If the Forgotten sides with her or Uther, either way she dies. It is unknown however if Uther survives.
