Ancotar's Ring of Protection is a ring given by Ancotar to protect against side-effects from the scroll he gives that undoes the Invisibility spell he inadvertently placed on Aleswell.

When speaking to Ancotar, and explaining that his spell he used to turn himself invisible affected the nearby town as well. Ancotar will give the Hero a scroll to undo the effects, as well as this ring. He says that the ring should prevent the side effects the scroll could have on the caster.
If the ring is not worn, the caster will suffer from damaged luck. This can be resolved by going to a shrine in one of the chapels or a spell or potion that fortifies luck.
