Anequina Sharp-Tongue, born as Ne Quin-al Rass Le, was a Khajiit queen and namesake of the state of Anequina.

Background[]

Anequina Sharp-Tongue became the queen and moon priest of the Ne Quin-al Prides, an early iteration of the ancient kingdom of Anequina during the Merethic Era. At some point, she met the mythic-hero, Khunzar-ri, and became his lover and one of his traveling companions. She was present during the conflict with the Dragon-Lord, Kaalgrontiid. Khunzari-ri gathered his companions, known as the Kra'Jun, to fight against the threat of the dragons and fought Kaalgrontiid and his band of warriors for forty-one days and nights, all across ancient Elsweyr.

One of the Kra'Jun, Cadwell, suggested the use of trickery to defeat the dragons by pretending to give them the moons' energy while in fact having the moons absorb their energy. Anequina worked with the priesthood of Shadow Dance Temple, using the Dance of Shadows to maneuver the moons into alignment and siphon the invaders' essence.[1]

Once the dragons were weakened, Khunzar-ri sealed the dragons in the Halls of Colossus, where they remained for several millennia.[2] However, Cadwell killed Khunzar-ri in order to harness the stolen energy and attain godhood himself. Anequina and the remaining companions managed to put a stop to Cadwell's ambitions.

Anequina continued her service as the Queen of her pride, spearheading their campaign in the First War of the Prides. They were considered the strongest in the conflict, and to pay homage to her, they took up her name, Ne Quin-al.[3] Queen Khamira, who was active during the Interregnum, was a descendant of Anequina.[4]
