Walkthrough[]
Upon completing "The Return of the Dream Shard," Abbot Durak will tell you of another ill omen. the temple to Azura in Gavaudon has been desecrated by the Supernal Dreamers. He says he will go there, and that you should come too, but he will ask you to first warn High King Emeric of what is going on.
Head to Wayrest and speak with Emeric. When he hears about the troubles that might beseech Gavaudon, he will complain that the region already has its share of troubles, with the Ironhand Ogres causing trouble. The king has heard of no Daedric influences from his friend General Godrun who is active there fighting the Ogres, but he will nontheless tell you to go speak with Captain Ernele, who has recently returned from that front, for more information.
Ernele can be found just north of the merchant district, by the guillotine. When asked about nightmares and other strange behaviour in Gavaudon, he will tell you that everyone is fine, though the general does seem to be blowing the ogre threat out of proportion. When you are done talking, head out east to Shinji's Scarp and bring this news to Abbot Durak to finish the quest.
