Apocrypha is a zone in The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom and the realm of the Daedric Prince Hermaeus Mora. It is directly connected to the Telvanni Peninsula through portals and is a part of the Shadow Over Morrowind story.[1] Apocrypha is a large island floating in a black sea of infinity cut through by many waterways and dotted with various structures, temples, cloisters and libraries. Daedra of Hermaeus Mora, including Seekers, Tomeshells, and Lurchers inhabit every area of the realm. The two sections of the island, Chroma Incognito and the Endless Library, one a land of red-orange hues and the other green, is separated by mountains impassable where it not for the Orphic Tunnels that run underneath.
Background[]

Apocrypha is the Oblivion realm of the Daedric Prince Hermaeus Mora who rules over the land he uses to collect and catalogue a vast array of knowledge from all places in the Aurbis. At the center of the accessible landmass of Apocrypha is Cipher's Midden, a sanctuary from the ungoverned and inhospitable landscape of the rest of the realm inhabited by the Scribes of Mora. In return to access to the infinite knowledge stored in Apocrypha, the ciphers tend to the archives and assist in cataloging and sorting. Many scholars and mages visit Apocrypha and do so in solitude, seeking their own knowledge for their own ends, but few mortals find themselves becoming a cipher. In Cipher's Midden, the scribes are given a safe haven and a place to form a community based on knowledge and mutual veneration of Hermaeus Mora.[2]

Apocrypha features a series of zone story quests and unrelated side quests. The zone story quests are shared with the Telvanni Peninsula and tie into the overarching Shadow Over Morrowind story, but it is not necessary to complete the story quests for zones prior to those in Apocrypha. Side quests are non-sequential and can be completed in any order, except where one carries on from another. Repeatable quests can be completed multiple times: weekly for arenas and trials and daily for all others.

The zone guide provides clues as to the location of each Skyshard, but many can be found simply by exploring and watching for the distinctive pillar of light they emit. Skyshards will appear on the map and compass when the Vestige is close to one and will remain discovered on the map even if it was not collected. Note that the number of the Skyshard is preserved according to its order in the Necrom Skyshard Hunter achievement.
