Arena Bloodworks

The Arena Bloodworks, located in the Imperial City Arena district, is both the training location and ready area for the gladiators of the Arena. Teams have a "red room" in the Bloodworks, but the player cannot access the red room of the rival yellow team. In the blue team's red room, players can talk to Owyn to arrange to take part in an Arena combat. After becoming Grand Champion, the player can speak to Ysabel to arrange fights.

The bloodworks name is derived from the fact that there is a grate in the arena that leads down to the bloodworks, so the blood of fallen combatants regularly flows down there. This is meant to be part of the Bloodwork's dark and foreboding atmosphere, which is meant to scare away any unqualified hopefuls who would have no chance of surviving through a combat.

The player can gather a number of items in the Bloodworks: There are a number of weapons, mostly two-handed swords and axes, lying around the Bloodworks, which the player can pick up for free after joining the Arena. There are also several cabinents filled with Arena Raiments that are re-stocked periodically.

One of the Dunmer Gladiators sometimes trains in Marksmanship by firing half a dozen or so arrows at a target board. The player can collect these arrows before the gladiator does, and as he never runs out of arrows, the player can continue to do this indefinitely until the Gladiators bow breaks in which you can pick it up and repair it and when you drop it he will pick it up and continue firing arrows.

• Bug: It is possible to end up with the character shooting from an empty bow. You may be able to replenish his supply of Iron Arrows by standing next to him and shooting your arrows into the target at the same time he is shooting (the glitch has currently only occurred on the PC version but can sometimes occur on the 360 version).

There is a Basin of Renewal that restores the player's health, magic, and fatigue after an Arena fight. However, it will not work if the player has not just exited an Arena fight.

Near Owyn, there is a Cupboard next to the Blade dummy. Inside is The Ransom of Zarek, a skill book which raises your Athletics skill.

There are also several beds the player can use to sleep in after joining the Arena faction.

Quests

Origin of the Gray Prince – the Gray Prince, Agronak gro-Malog, wants you to go to Crowhaven to find proof that he is of noble birth.
