"If you like nothing better than to spend a day hammering metal, or are simply a collector of armor and weapons, the Armory is for you. With space for smithing, as well as plenty of room to display your martial collections in style, the Armory is the perfect addition to any house."
The Beginner's Guide to Homesteading[src]

The Armory is a possible addition for the east wing of a homestead built in The Elder Scrolls V: Hearthfire.

Features[]

The Armory is a rectangular room that serves as a dedicated place where various weapons and armor can be displayed and stored. Fully furnished, it features five mannequins, four display cases, and several storage containers. In addition, a workbench and grindstone can be added.

Like the Storage Room and Bedrooms, an outdoor wooden porch is added that can be accessed from the second floor. The porch features various furnishings, including seating and an archery target. The porch can also be connected to the north wing Storage Room porch, if it has been built.

Furnishings[]

The following is a list of all furnishings that can be added to the Armory. Furnishings can be built manually at the indoor Carpenter's Workbench or added over a period time if done via a Steward. The cost of asking a steward to furnish the Armory is 2000 Gold.

All furnishings are fixed in position and cannot be removed once they are built. The name of the furnishing option does not always accurately describe what will be added, as in some cases additional containers and accessories may be added, along with the main piece of furniture.

Bugs[]

This section contains bugs related to Armory (Hearthfire). Before adding a bug to this list, consider the following:

  1. Please reload an old save to confirm if the bug is still happening.
  2. If the bug is still occurring, please post the bug report with the appropriate system template  360  /  XB1  ,  PS3  /  PS4  ,  PC  /  MAC  ,  NX  /  PS5  ,  XS  , depending on which platform(s) the bug has been encountered on.
  3. Be descriptive when listing the bug and fixes, but avoid having conversations in the description and/or using first-person anecdotes: such discussions belong on the appropriate forum board.
  •  360   The armor mannequins may disappear when entering a homestead, but reappear when activating the stand.
  •  PC   360   PS3   PS4   XB1   NX   PS5   XS   The armor mannequins may appear either next to or clipped inside the cupboard instead of on top of it.
  •  PC   360   PS3   PS4   XB1   NX   PS5   XS   The armor mannequins may respawn armor pieces after they are removed.
  •  PC   360   PS3   PS4   XB1   NX   PS5   XS   When used with the North Wing Storage Room extension, the exterior porches should connect seamlessly, however in this case it won't as there is a railing blocking the walkway.
  •  PC   360   PS3   PS4   XB1   NX   PS5   XS   The exterior furnishing "Round Table with Chairs" does not appear when built.
  •  PC   360   The second exterior furnishing labeled "Bench" (the one with high sides and a backrest) does not appear when built.
    •  PS3   Both benches appear but not as depicted, they both appear as old rough splintery benches.
  •  PC   360   When walking up the East Wing Armory's staircase on the outside of Heljarchen Hall, you may ignore the staircase and clip through them (occurs during the early stages of the exterior furnishing more often then other stages).
  • Putting dragon bones or scales in a display case may cause the game to freeze. The game will then continue to freeze every time you interact with something in the armory.
  • Using the weapon plaque furthest from the left in the armory of Lakeview Manor causes it to make the weapon placed on the left to disappear.
  • Display cases may not be able to interact when built.
