Ash Yam (Morrowind)

The ash yam is an Alchemical ingredient in Morrowind. It is a tough and tuberous root. The root itself has a red and brown color, tipped with several darkly shaded green leaves. A remarkable part of the ash yam are the three rather big brown leaves sticking out on top of the root. Ash Yams grow commonly in the Ascadian Isles and is a favored vegetable by its inhabitants. It can also be found as random loot as it's value and commodity make it appear in many random boxes across Vvardenfell. Bad-Tongues claims that "Ash Yams have the strongest smell near Ralyn Othravel in Ghostgate." Whether that smell comes from Ralyn himself or the equipment he carries is unknown. Ash Yams can fortify strength, luck, agility, endurance, willpower, personality, and intelligence, and grant an immunity to disease and poison. Ash Yams can also be used in Detect Life potions. Ash Yams are also the only known way to cure corprus disease and if reverse pickpocketed onto vivec they will paralyze and light him on fire.
