Aubk'i is the Redguard Queen of Daggerfall and the consort of King Gothryd. Her parents were Queen Akorithi and the now-deceased King Camaron of Sentinel. Her brothers are Lhotun and Arthago.

History[]

After the War for Betony, King Gothryd asked for her hand in marriage. The request was intended to restore the friendship between Daggerfall and Sentinel. It was partially successful, though many in the royal court of Sentinel view Aubk'i as a prisoner rather than a bond to Daggerfall.

When Nulfaga, the Queen Mother of Daggerfall, found the location of the Mantella, the heart that fueled the Numidium, the Emperor Uriel Septim VII sent a letter to the Queen of Daggerfall, Queen Mynisera. A special seal on the envelope was supposed to tip off Lady Brisienna that in fact the letter was intended for her. She was supposed to get the location of the Mantella by any means necessary. The War for Betony delayed the arrival of the letter. The letter arrived very late, after the war, and was received by Queen Aubk'i. Confused, the Queen sold the letter to King Gortwog of Orsinium. When asked about the letter, Queen Aubk'i denied that she ever read the letter, and she claimed that it had been stolen from her the same day.

After the Warp in the West, she and King Gothryd continue to rule Daggerfall, and keep the kingdom as one of the prominent political powers in the Iliac Bay.

Lysandus' Revenge[]

Aubk'i can be given Lord Woodborne's Private Journal VII. Doing so, however, results in quest failure and grants no rewards. Since Aubk'i is affiliated with Lord Woodborne, she will order the guards to kill the Agent if the journal is brought to her.

Dialogue[]

Concern for Nulfaga

"My husband's poor grandmother, Nulfaga, is rumored to be in very frail health, her once brillaint mind almost utterly destroyed. She has locked herself in her castle in the Wrothgarian Mountains and experiments in magical studies with no regard for her own safety. I would Know of her condition, but few possess the bravery to face the horrors of her castle and speak with her. My reward for a report on her health is a Short bow (Random item). Will you be my champion in this?"

Yes "By the Cliffs of Solitude, I am glad to have found a champion. The name of her castle is Shedungent, and it should not take you longer than 150 days to go there. If she is insane, Shedungent may be a very dangerous place indeed. Be very careful. May Kynareth and Mara protect you."
No "[?]"

After speaking to Nulfaga:

"I confess I doubted I would ever see you again. Your news that Nulfaga is still among the living does my heart much good. Here is your Short bow (Item)."

Mynisera's Letters

"Agent (Player name), I do not know even how to broach this subject. I need you to promise me on your ancestor's honor that you will do what you can to help me and never breath of what I say or waht you see to anyone else anywhere. Will you so swear?"

Yes "I will trust you then, Agent (Player name). The matter concerns my mother-in-law, the dowager queen of Daggerfall and widow of Lysandus, Mynisera. As mistress of the household finances, I have noticed that she has been paying for the upkeep of a fortress called Castle Necromoghan complete with a large platoon of soldiers. A short while ago, she disappeared with a wrapped parcel of papers and came back days later with empty hands. She has recently left again with her parcel of letters and my spies have verified that she has gone to Castle Necromoghan. You will have to trust that my suspicion of her activities is justifiable, for I am not in a position to offer proof. What I need for you to do is go to Castle Necromoghan and find that parcel of letters or any other information about her activities there. Mynisera will be returning in 13 days. You cannot have any more time than that, I fear. Good luck."
No "[?]"

After finding the Parcel of Letters:

"How very sad. To be honest, this is not what I expected the letters to contain. Poor Mynisera. Everyone at court knows that her husband, the late King Lysandus, preferred the face and form of another woman of her, but she still attempts to hide all evidence of it. Her loyalty to Lysandus is almost as great as his foolish loyalty to the emperor. And those poor little children. How dreadful the butchery of the innocents. We know of the barbarism of the orcs, but surely they did not deserve that. Hardly surprising that Mynisera did not want it known that her father was responsible for such a grotesque enterprise. Well, I thank you, Agent (Player name), for your valor and your discretion. Please accept this small token of my esteem, not as a payment but as a gift. May Oblivion bless thee."

The Emperor's Courier

"The letter from the Emperor? Actually Agent (Player name) this is rather embarrassing. The letter was stolen from me the same day I received it. I never did read it. I have been hoping that the letter would turn up, or the the Emperor would send another letter. If you find the letter, I would be most grateful if you would let me personally deliver it to Mynisera."

Lysandus' Revenge

"You were completely correct to bring this to me. Otherwise it might have gotten out where it could do Lord Woodborne damage. Guards! Kill this Breton (Race)!"
