- "I have seen your name, Traveler, and heard it whispered in twilight. I ask a service, which holds promise of fame and reward. Many years ago, five followers slew the vampire Dratik and its kin, but all were infected by the foul creature. Knowing their fate, they sealed themselves up in the vampire's lair. Their suffering weighs heavily on me. Travel to the Gutted Mine. The door will open to you. Bring the peace of death to my followers, and you shall earn my gratitude."

Azura is a quest in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. In order to speak to Azura, she demands an offering of Glow Dust, and the Hero must be level two or higher. Azura needs to be summoned at either dawn or dusk (5–7am or 5–7pm).
Finding an offering[]
At level two, it can be difficult to find Glow Dust. Most alchemy vendors sell Glow Dust. A Will-o-the-Wisp can be found around midnight, nearby the shrine.
Background[]
Ages ago, five of Azura's followers, Ghola gro-Muzgol, Aranalda, Nille Elf-Daughter, Avita Cassiana and Umar gra-Khar fought and destroyed the vampire Dratik, but all were infected with Porphyric Hemophilia. Knowing their fate, they locked themselves in the Gutted Mine to prevent themselves from ravaging the world. Azura, caring for her worshipers, wants them killed and freed of the curse.
Walkthrough[]
Take the offering to Azura and activate the shrine during the hours of dusk (5PM–7PM) or dawn (5AM–7AM) to receive the quest.
Head to Gutted Mine, which is slightly southwest from the shrine. Once inside, eliminate all five Afflicted Brethren, which are vampires. The vampires may be armed with leveled enchanted weapons.
A strategy to eliminate them with little to no risk of contracting their disease is to sneak attack them with a ranged weapon or spell. Then, lure them out of the mine and carefully descend the steepest part of the slope, directly to the left of the mine, ending in a ditch with them following. The vampires will fall to their death eventually, and the Hero can pick up their drops when their bodies collect in the ditch.
Once the followers of Azura are eliminated, return to the shrine at any time of day and she will give her thanks and Azura's Star as a reward.
- "Thank you, mortal. Their spirits are free, and henceforth, above my shrine, five bright candles shall burn forever in memory of their sacrifice. For your service, take this token, that your deeds might be entered in the Book of Fate."

I have been told by Azura's followers that an offering of glow dust, obtained from a will-o-the-wisp, is needed to summon the Daedra. The statue should be approached at dawn or dusk. [You must be level 2 to begin this quest.] |
When Azura was summoned, she told me the tale of her followers who trapped themselves in the Gutted Mine. She wishes me to find them and kill them, releasing them from their vampiric existence. Azura will unseal the mine so I may enter. |
I have killed all of the vampires in the Gutted Mine. I should return to the shrine. |
Azura thanked me for allowing her followers the peace of death. She rewarded me with Azura's Star.

Trivia[]
- The Book of Fate in Skyrim is mentioned during the quest.
- One of the followers, Ghola gro-Muzgol, carries the Worn, Faded Note which asks the finder to bring their last words to Azura.
