Baar Dau is a meteor that hovers above Vivec City in The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind. The rock is held in place by the divine energy of the demigod Vivec, and serves to test the local citizens' faith to Vivec.[1] The exact source of the meteor is unknown, with the most popularized belief being that the Daedric Prince Sheogorath hurled the rock at Nirn from the Void.[2]

Sometime before the events of The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind, Baar Dau plummeted towards Vivec City. With the use of his divine energy, Vivec stopped the meteor moments from impact.[2]

Vivec's divine energy has diminished, and Baar Dau has dropped dangerously close to Vivec City. The Vestige must retrieve a Blessing Stone for Vivec, in order to restore enough power to hold up the moonlet.
