Bamz-Amschend is a massive Dwemer ruin located below Mournhold's Plaza Brindisi Dorom in The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal. For a long time, the residents of Mournhold did not know about the existence of Bamz-Amschend, due to the fact that the ruined city was inaccessible and believed to be nothing more than the ruins of Old Mournhold, destroyed by Mehrunes Dagon at the end of the First Era. The entrance to the ruin is under the statue of Almalexia and Mehrunes Dagon. Near the end of the Third Era, the statue that depicts the battle between Almalexia and Dagon in the center of Plaza Brindisi Dorom is destroyed during an attack on Mournhold by an army of fabricants.

Hearthfire Hall

The first area discovered within the ruin is Hearthfire Hall. This is where the ruins are first entered from Plaza Brindisi Dorom. There are numerous enemies amidst the columns and rubble in this massive chamber. The Nerevarine can easily be overwhelmed here. From here there are two doors, one leading further into the structure and the other leading to a dead-end.

Layout

There are many corridors and rooms blocked by rubble, however, the city is generally well-preserved. The chambers are uniquely spacious, with massive fans on the ceiling in many areas. The designs on the walls and floors are different from those found in other Dwemer ruins. Even the water pipes are different, still having the semblance of functionality with glass portals for viewing the contents as it bubbles past. The ruins have an enormous architectural and historical value: No one was able to pillage it because it was inaccessible for centuries. Even the ashen remains of the Dwemer who once called this place home are still found undisturbed throughout the chambers and corridors.

Under these ruins there is an even more ancient structure — Norenen-dur, a massive shrine dedicated to the Daedric Princes.

Sublocations

Hall of Winds

A square of 4 rooms with an intersection of hallway between. Appears to have been a maintenance area. Aside from the regular loot this dead-end holds one of the Dwemer Satchel Packs.

Hall of Wails

Another dead-end square of rooms laid out like the Hall of Winds. This may have been an infirmary of sorts as each room has the remains of beds.

King's Walk

This area is essentially one long corridor leading to Skybreak Gallery. In the lower section there is a large water pipe which has been damaged severely and is now the source of flooding.

Passage of the Walker

Area that is reached via passage through a rubble-blocked opening in Radac's Forge. It leads to King's Walk and hides the entrance to Norenen-dur.

Passage of Whispers

This area serves as a corridor between Hearthfire Hall, Hall of Wails, and Radac's Forge. Among the more notable loot here are two Dwarven halberds and two Dwemer cuirasses.

Radac's Forge

The large area of the ruin where Radac Stungnthumz resides in ghostly form. His workshop area has a massive robot, which is not active. Further into the halls there is small room with a lot of treasure, including two more Dwemer Satchel Packs.

Skybreak Gallery

This is where the weather control device Karstanghz-Beharn is located. It will need to be powered up before it can be used.
