Bandit Wizards are enemies in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Less common than the typical melee-based bandits, these bandits wield a variety of spells. When encountered in a group, the Bandit Wizard is usually the highest level.
Races[]
Battle behavior[]
Most Bandit Wizards use destruction spells, but some use conjuration or alteration. Commonly, if there is a magic-using bandit in a group, it is the leader and therefore the hardest to kill.
Strategy[]
- Dragon Shouts such as Unrelenting Force may be used to destabilize the mage, making it difficult for them to cast spells. Weapons or spells with shock damage deplete the mage's magicka reserve, forcing them to switch to melee combat. Restoration magic, such as Turn Undead or Banish can dispel their conjured constructs. The bound weapon perk, "Oblivion Binding," automatically dispels conjured beings.
