For other uses, see Inventory.

Inventory is where one stores their items and equipment in The Elder Scrolls Online. Stackable items can stack up to 200 times before creating a new stack. Each character begins with 60 spots, with a maximum of 210. Pack Merchants can add up to 80 slots. Riding Capacity training adds up to 60, regardless if one uses their mount. Space can be further increased by buying the Mournhold Packrat and Bristleneck War Boar pets (5 spaces each).

For ESO Plus members, the Craft Bag will hold all crafting materials separately, with virtually no limit. This includes trait items, style materials, and furnishing materials.

Currencies and quest items can be found in one's inventory, but do not take up space. Read books are stored in a different menu (under Crafting Motifs, Eidetic Memory, or Shalidor's Library). Pets and cosmetic wear such as costumes are stored separately under Collections.

Banks and housing storage can be used to store items. Guild Banks, Guild Stores, and mail can also be used to "store" some items, though there are limitations and risks.

Description[]

[?]

Slottable items such as potions, poisons, and food can be added to Quick Slots, which allow them to be quickly used without accessing the inventory menu.

Binding[]

Items may be bound to one's inventory, which prevents them from being traded. Some bind types may have further limitations.

  • Bound — can be placed in bank or storage.
  • Character Bound — cannot be moved from the particular character's inventory into bank or storage.
  • Bind on Equip — cannot be traded once they're equipped by one of your characters. Includes all crafted sets and most item sets.
  • Bind on Pickup — bound as soon as they're found or looted.
    • Group content exception: item sets obtained in group dungeons, Trials, and Arenas can be traded with other members of group within 2 hours of them being obtained (marked with blue double arrow icon).
  • Backpack Bind on Pickup — will become Character Bound.[?]

Fully binding a piece of equipment will add that item to one's stickerbook collection.
