Relationship to the Dwemer[edit | edit source]

The Dwemer were able to find this Black Book while they were searching for forbidden knowledge. According to Neloth, the Dwemer had a specialty for obtaining and studying forbidden knowledge. In this case, the Dwemer were attempting to find the Bend Will shout and the three Dragonborn powers, Dragonborn Force, Dragonborn Flame and Dragonborn Frost.[1]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • This Black Book is mentioned in the book The Library of Dusk: Rare Books. Its author is listed simply as, "The Transparent One." According to its curators it is kept away from the public, as it contains forbidden invocations of Daedra that are either very destructive, or are enemies of Molag Bal.
  • If the cursor is hovered in the black book at the apocrypha it will say "Return to Solstheim" but only the middle area that can teleport the Dragonborn into Solstheim when interacted (could be bug).
