The Blackguard's Hood is a unique piece of light armor and part of the Blackguard's Armor set.
Acquisition[]
The full set can be found in a display case in the basement of Glover Mallory's House in Raven Rock on the island of SolstheimDR. The basement can only be accessed after recovering the Bonemold Formula for Glover Mallory.
Once this is completed, a key to basement is granted and any items in it can be taken without incident. The set respawns, along with most of the rest of the items in the basement, after a certain amount of time.
Enchantment[]
Wearing this piece of armor grants the following bonuses:
- Fortify Barter: 25%
Smithing[]
It can be upgraded at a workbench with piece of leather and the Arcane Blacksmith perk; however, it does not benefit from any Smithing perks.
This means the armor cannot be improved past flawless quality without boosting the Smithing skill over 100. This can be achieved by using enchanted items and/or blacksmithing potions to fortify Smithing.

- When worn by a vampire, it will become like a bald-cap and glitch the back of the head so it is bald. However, it will not show up as a hood, and thus can be equipped with multiple helmets. Multiple helmets can be done with many other hoods such as Linwe's hood, Guild Master's hood, Thieves Guild hood, and the upgraded Thieves Guild hood. After equipping any of these hoods, one more piece of headgear of any type can be equipped. If the other piece of headgear is a Falmer Helmet, a circlet can also be equipped. (Fixed with patch 1.9)
