Blades Guardian provides a friendly creature in the other lane with 1 extra point of power and health as well as the guard keyword. As Blades Guardian itself has guard, this allows for both lanes to be simultaneously protected from direct attacks and attacks against creatures without guard.
Blades Guardian is therefore an effective creature at preventing damage and can be further reinforced, as well as the creature that received its bonus, with items that improve its health. A creature that receives Blades Guardian's health, power, and guard bonus will not have it removed if Blades Guardian is defeated.
