Hello everybody.
As several of you know by now, I have been given Admin rights here on the Elder Scrolls wiki. I want to thank you all for trusting me with this.
One thing I promised to do, was to do what I could to stabilize the wiki. Unlike smaller wiki's, we have more then a few viewpoints on how to do this. I will be trying to get a hold of many of you individually, to get your thoughts on things. Of course, you are more then welcome to come to me at any time and leave a message on my wall with questions, thoughts and concerns.
One thing I would like to make clear, is I am not perfect and therefore will not be perfect at this job, but will do the very best I can. I am replacing several Admins who (no matter how you feel about them) worked hard to help this wiki, and as of now, I am adapting to this role. One thing we need to do is not put all the work we do here onto a smaller group. We are a community and as such need to do the work together to get more done. A few people cannot do everything, nor should we pretend that they can. Many of us have jobs, family, and real world obligations, and if we put to much into one persons responsibly it will fall apart should they step away from the computer.
I do not have the time the other Admins did, I can't sit here for hours on end. My hours are random and this will make it hard to do large jobs all in one sitting. I do get on every couple of hours to make sure things are OK. So we need to find ways that the whole community can help. One way is to start projects and tasks for teams of editors to focus on.
My main goal with this is to get an idea of what we need done. I need to know what the community wants to work on and what the community can do to help. Please be open, but remember that being civil can go farther then yelling.
Thank you and happy editing.
