Oh my god, so much misinformation in this thread! First, your character IS The Last Dragonborn. Both official material by Bethesda and the godamn prophecy make it clear. The whole Alduin eating the world or not is not meant to be resolved the same way other TES matters can't be resolved. If Alduin ate the world, there would be no more TES games, if he didn't, the prophecy would be wrong/open to interpretation, etc. Bethesda won't write a definitve outcome because it would effectively end the franchise. This is also why a "Dragon Break" was invented in order to explain how six different endings could coesxist at the same time. No, Hermaeus Mora didn't turn Miraak into a Dragonborn, he merely turned him into a servant. As for the Septim line not being Dragonborn because "They can't shout," Talos did, and they all bore his blood, until that line was broken long before Martin sacrificed himself. "A brief history of the empire" makes a lot of mentions on where it happened, according to different sources, but it is ultimately irrelevant, as it is surmised the dragon blood comes and goes at the whim of Akatosh, rather than direct, actual bloodline. This is most probably a retcon borne out of Bethesda writing themselves into a corner, which also explains why your character becomes The Last Dragonborn: Because he has to in order for TES5 to make any sense. Finally, Martin Septim didn't empower Akatosh (that makes absolutely no sense) in order to end the Oblivion Crisis. If anything, it's precisely the other way around.
