Hello! I was just thinking, in Skryim the Spriggans in appearance remind me a little of the bosmer, mainly the shape of their eyes. Is it possible Spriggans have something to do with bosmer? or more likely Y'ffre or maybe the Wilderking?

I'm not sure about that, but I just think there are alot of similarities. Like you say when it comes to protectiong nature, but also physicallity, like I mentioned before the shape of the eyes in Skyrim, but in Oblivion they looked more human and have very Elven ears, same with the Bloodmoon DLC for Morrowind. I don't have any proof that there's any connection other than what I've just mentioned but still I think it's interesting. Also in ESO you can give the Bosmer horns, which some of the spriggans also have
Perhaps Bosmers looked like Spriggans before the First Dominion was crashed and Ayelids came to Valenwood and merged with them? Because if the Words of Clan Mother Ahnissi can be trusted to some extent, Bosmers probaably didn't come from the Aldmer but from a shapeshifter species (the fact that their Shamans can change any wiling Bosmer's shape into a monster for the wild Hunt seem to agree with that part of the Kajit document), so...
I think that's possible, I think maybe what could also be the case is Bosmers maybe looked more like Spriggans whether by some connection or just coincidental, and over time through mixing with the Ayelids and perhaps other elves or even Khajiit if it is possible (in Racial Phylogeny it says it says basically the author doesn't know so it is possible) and such they looked more like the other races of elves, like I mentioned earlier in ESO Bosmer could have horns which as far as I know (only played Morrowind, Oblivion and Skryim) they didn't have in any of the other games, this could be because over time through mixing they've just lost these traits. The Wild Hunt I'd say probably just has more to do with Y'ffre in my opinion
To be honest there's some evidence to back the claim that Spriggans could be leftovers from a previous Wild Hunt. I think of a quote from Pocket Guide to the Empire: "every monster in the world that has ever been comes from a previous Hunt. Those Bosmer that go Wild, they do not return". Doesn't help that they seem to have the same ability as the Bosmer to control animals, either. At the very least I'd be willing to bet that they are related to Y'ffre somehow.
I'd totally agree, I think it's too much of a coincidence they have to be releted in some way
I'd been thinking about this lately and this is what I've come up with. It's been said, or at least implied, that like werewolves, some Bosmer never are restored to their normal forms after they use The Wild Hunt. The Wild Hunt creatures are said to be somewhere between flora and fauna, plant and animal, and that sounds more than a bit like a Spriggan. Although Spriggans are one of the tougher creatures, they don't exactly hold the supernatural and horrific power that the lore claims. On the other hand though, The Volhikar are also said to have the ability to phase through ice and live underneath the water, but we never see any Volhikar anywhere in the Sea of Ghosts (Unless Septimus is older than he seems) so maybe that's just how Bethesda decided to have us interact with the Spriggan
I mean in relation more to the Volhikar vampires, it's says in Immortal Blood I think about the going through ice, so it is possible that the in-game author of that book just lied or had misinfomation, Bethesda do something put in false infomation in books or different books with different view points, where the nedes comes from is one of those kinds of things. Although in all fairness it's probably just Bethesda not really knowing how to implement it in gameplay but hey ho. But I agree with the Wild Hunt theory, to me it makes the most sense rather than just 'ohhh magic beings', if you get me.
