I just don't agree with the Jouane thing but it is definitely a possibility that he is using magic to make the farms in Rorikstead better than anywhere else. Daedra may or may not be involved, though I personally doubt that they are involved because like I said only Claviculus Vile(may have spelled it wrong) fits (though very loosely in my opinion) if it does involve Daedra.
Dude, If Jouane was teaching Sissel extremely damaging destruction magic, he wouldn't let on either. It dosen't exactly have to be black magic.
Yeah, I kinda agree with Harold that its highly possible Jouane might be using restoration magic to I dunno, buff the plants?
I didn't specifically say restoration magic but yeah I could see that working.
Sissel also seems to have vision-like powers. Since she saw Paarthurnax in a dream.

this should give a little more depth to the conversation
Well it could be possible, or Jouanne is going to train her, perform some ritual, (telling her it will enhance her power) then turn her into a dremora?
It could well be Clavicus Vile, as he grants wishes, perhaps Rorik and Jouanne made a deal with him, due to the fact that Rorikstead has been around for hundreds of years, and Rorik could have become immortal. Jouanne might have made a deal that the farms would be forever prosperous...
Simple, no. There really isn't any evidence to say that they are Daedra worshippers, any more than to say that the people of Solitude are.
For those who played Oblivion, rermember that small town Hackdirt? They were sacrificing this argonian you had to save. Maybe Rorik and Jouane worship Clavicus Vile to keep their farms all fertile but in return Clavicus demanded to sacrifice the women?
