^And this is why I still hope the Kothringi will be playable too.
Technically, you could argue the Argonians also "fucked up all of Tamriel" once upon a time.
So I'm not sure the Sload can be counted out.

Amen to that. Mighty Sload possibly not out of the race!
I hope the next game adds in a new human race, of which they originated from Akavir. And this race would clearly be inspired by Northeast Asian people e.g Chinese, Japanese people.
Since the Blades and Akaviri design take direct inspiration from the Samurai, it's only appropriate that they add a relevant race of men.
So I'm not sure the Sload can be counted out.
Still I refuse to play a game where there are evil necromantic Hutts walking around.

Sorry for your loss...
people make the "it'll be too lore breaking" excuse but really?
in tes adventures redguard imperiels where introduced than they were playable in morrowind
and orcs where vicious murderers in arena and daggerfall but became playable in morrowind
in my opinion sloads should be the next playable race
Sloads have one problem in game mechanics that cannot be oversight lightly and that is their size. I cannot imagine that people of tamriel start to make every door in every building 2-3 times bigger to let pass throug some huge slug. It simply doesnt make sense from lore perspective.
Nah, it's not really a problem. TESO recently introduced a few Sload characters who weren't much bigger than humans. Plus, N'Gasta (from TESA: Redguard) was shorter than Cyrus.
People need to stop relying on the "lore perspective" so much. It's nice to know accounts of history & background info in this series, but it's never intended to be wholly accurate nor will it necessarily apply to events depicted in-game.
Sure; it wouldn't be viable to expect playing as a Sload in their latest stages of adulthood, when they're too heavy to even be on land. But even "Sea Sload" can walk on land when they're still young enough.
So, at worst, you'll have a race of "fat" slug people who are shorter than humans (about the average height of Bosmer).
