What happened to your Dragonborn after the events of Skyrim? Did he/she live a long life, die unexpectedly? How did the story of your Dragonborn end? This threads for all you storytellers and people who want to complete your character's story.
Here's my characters ending:
Arnskar Veilblade had defeated the evil Alduin, the devious Harkon and the powerful Miraak, all seeking to destroy the world or take it for their own, however the threat of Alduin remained as his soul was not absorbed, the Greybeards feared that he would return to fulfill the prophecy to end the world.
After his destiny had been fulfilled he'd resigned himself to eliminating any other dragon threats that still followed Alduin, until the only dragons left were faithful to the Way of the Voice. He was a hero, but he did not wish the fame or riches he was offered. Instead he resigned to Lakeview Manor and found humble work in Falkreach as a logger.
He made frequent visits to Castle Volkihar to see his closest friend, Serana, who while had been cured of vampirism refused to age. Being one of the first vampires, she had been infected with the vampire blood for so long, certain side effects did not subside. Arnskar only noticed this however when his wife Ysolda had died after a long life, when age had taken it's toll on her yet Serana looked the same as she did when they first met.
So, as it happened, did he. Despite having an age of 86 years, he looked no older than 30. He had done some research in the Arcanium of the Mages College, and the answer came in the chronicles of his own adventures. Whilst on Solthseim, he fought and defeated Miraak the First Dragonborn. He was not undead like the other Dragon Priests, he was still very much alive. The reason for this was the dragon souls he had devoured, each of these souls not only gave him the knowledge of the shouts, but the lifeforce of the dragons. Every dragon can live thousands of years, and Miraak had absorbed many of these. Arnskar however had absorbed hundreds more, meaning he had hundreds of thousands, if not millions of years left in him.
As all the people he knew had died and the next generations had come and gone, Arnskar grew to despair now realizing his gift had become a curse. Even the great Paarthunax had succumbed to his great age. Arnskar was on the verge of suicide when he dropped the knife and made a final choice. He made the long journey up the 7,000 steps along with Serana, his only living friend, to live in peace at the peak of the Throat of the World, teach new deciples of the Voice the way and await the return of Alduin.
